I have tried other magnetic screen doors in the past, and after a few months with wear and tear from my five dogs, they began to rip. This screen is much more durable, and the magnetic strips in the middle fasten perfectly with my dogs going in and out, (and in and out and in and out, etc.!) I’ve had it up for months now, added two dogs to my bunch, and the screen has not a sign of a rip or tear.

I can leave the door open in good weather and my dog can go in and out just like a doggie door and it keeps insects out.

This is the 3rd time I have purchased the magnetic screen for my home and the last 2 times, the product was FANTASTIC, but this time, the material is different and magnets do not line up. Not sure what changed with the product but it does not hold up and bugs are able to get into my home because the flaps do not connect with the magnets

I purchased this in order to allow my two cats to constantly go in and out of the back sliding door and out onto the patio throughout the day, without having to open and close the door constantly. It keeps the bugs out for the most part, though I still see tiny fruit flies coming in and a few mosquitoes. I would say this product is overall well made and is doing the job I bought it for.

We were excited to get this product. Reviews looked great. Not hard to put up and was fine for 20-25 days. Then we noticed a 2" tear in a place our hands never touched. A week later there were two smaller tears. Just tossed it in the trash today, July 8, 2023. Won't purchase again.

I got the new upgraded version according to the description (released the very end of April). If you’ve ever used pet screen before and re-screened your screen door or windows, it’s like that thicker black material, but just slightly less hefty. At first I was afraid it was not going to be sheer enough because it looks really dark when you take it out of the package, so I was about ready to send it back and then said it wasn’t that much money I can try it and always get a different one. I finally just put it up after letting it sit for a while to get the folds out and it does have a slight tint to it, but it also adds a little bit of privacy to my bedroom . It’s kind of like looking out the door with sunglasses on. Very easy to put up although it just barely fit side to side on my double French doors so since I measured again right before installing, I would say it runs a little bit short of the side measurements and a little taller. The tape is very strong and hefty which is a plus and I have not had to use any tacks yet. My cats figured it out pretty much right away how to get through the bottom and go in and out and this way I can keep the mosquitoes and other bugs out. The magnets are strong, but not too strong , which I was afraid would hinder them from being able to use it. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase, and would say go ahead and buy it! Oh, and a helpful hint… Once you have it up when you see folds in the door and it doesn’t look smooth like a regular screen door just separate the Velcro and straighten it out.

This product is as 5-star perfect as your installation. THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN CANNOT TOUCH THE FLOOR! AND, you will likely need your own 3/4" velcro on hand before you start. Also, don't expect the velcro strip adhesive to hold up to the summer heat, rain, and airborne dust. Buy yourself a strip of moulding and place it over the top edge of the installed fabric and screw that into the doorframe. Mine work perfectly! But, I had to hang the material over an interior door overnight to let the folds fall out and really work at stretching the top line of the material to hang it with a consistent 1/4" gap all along the bottom of the full width of my french doors. You can't succeed at this unless you let the wrinkles relax from the fabric BEFORE you install. My doors aren't perfectly square either, and I have a handicap ramp butting up against the threshold of one door, so I had to actually twist a portion of the fabric's edge over and attach that portion on its opposite side, to get it to hang without gaps or waves. Mine hang neat and crisp, because I did all this. You may need your own supply of 3/4" velcro to do this, because the screen comes with the fuzzy side of the velcro sewn on it, and the kit only supplies you with enough of the other side, the plastic side of the velcro, to hang it with. If you have to fold it over to get a nice smooth curtain overall, you will need your own fuzzy-side material to add to the flipped portions of the edge, to mate to the plastic side that is supplied. As long as they swing freely at the bottom, and they hang flat and true, they work perfectly everytime, going in or out. The material is thick. It's tough, and my dogs don't hurt it, batting at it with their front feet. The bottom blows out about 1-1/2" either side of the threshold when the wind blows through the door, but it takes a fierce wind to separate the magnets. They're tubular and quite strong. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!
