Product looks exactly like the original, except for a small area at the end of it, it is either to long by a microscopic amount or because the first dimple between the orings is slightly shorter than the original, but it will not screw into the manual release port opening.

This plug does not fit in a mercury 150 2 stroke carb motor, the tip is slightly too large to fit the the trim unit, making it so that you can not even get one thread on, even after making the end diameter smaller, it still will not fit properly

A much better item than the nylon option that goes brittle with age and is difficult to remove. The slot on this stainless option will always be good just remember to use a BIG WIDE BLADED SCREWDRIVER.

I replaced my broken plastic release valve with this one. Fit my 2004 200HP Mercury Salt Water perfectly.
