Perhaps it's not sharp enough - or the teeth don't fit the grooves well - but it just can't make enough contact to really clean the grates. Given it's winter now, my grill is covered up for the year but I'm using it on a cast iron grooved griddle ( with the same grooves, etc. as a grill)...it just can't get the frustrating things off or out. Whether it's just me or not - the other grill brushes work great on the cast iron.the flat wedged/angled side edge is nice though.

The BBQ Scraper is a Durable, and works with my Traeger and Charcoal grill. It is easy to use not only on the grill grates but other items outdoors or in the kitchen. Doesn't damage or scratch grates. Much better than metal or plastic. I highly recommend this product.

Got this for my grill. Works great! Good size with handle for easy grip and pushing. Made well and easy to use. Will buy another when this one wears out. Good value.

This scrapes my grill just as well as other brushes and is super fast to use. I'm NOT a fan of metal bristle brushes for safety reasons, so if you're like me on this then this little gadget is nice to have.

There's nothing too special about those product. It is wood so it wears down over time to settle into the individual grooves of your own Grill grate. That being said, wearing it down take some time and pressure which isn't something that I'd like to do. I thought this maybe a good alternative to a bristle brush however this requires more effort for Less payoff. It's a solid product by itself and have used it as a cutting board instead but for anything else it's not really worth the amount of time and labor in my opinion.

Thought I would try this out as I am moving away from "wire brush" grill cleaners. This item works pretty well on my name brand smoker. Experimented with different angles to maximize its effectiveness and have been pleased with the results. It definitely is most effective when used immediately after removing the food from the grill. I like that it is bamboo and an easily renewable resource. A pleasure to recommend this item.

If you run a Traeger or any other grill with coated grates, you know the dilema. You'd love to use a metal scraper to get off all that grime, but if you do, you'll scatch it up. So the alternative is usually a plastic scraper or some sort of sponge or brush. The problem is they don't work as well as the metal ones. Wood is probably the best alternative. I find it scrapes better than the plastic scrapers and doesn't mar as much on the grates. It isn't as strong as metal but there is a big advantage over plastic with this, you can sharpen it. Keep an edge on it by sanding at an angle that matches what it had when it was new every oh say 10 uses i find (depends on what you're scraping and how hard you're doing it) and you should get at least a year or more out of it. I wouldn't worry about wearing it down as that's going to happen. But i'd rather buy one of these every year than spend an extra half hour spraying degreaser and physical effort. So i look at it as a fair trade off. The money I spend on this vs my time saved. The only ding I would give it is it appears to be laminated bamboo. That means (just like cutting boards) they are prone to separation over time and use, especially when left in water. This leads to the scraper falling apart prior to it's expected life span. If you take care of yours, you will likely not run in to this, but given my experience with these, it's likely to happen to you if you're not careful.

I have a name brand wood scraper like this for my grill at home. Metal bristle brushes are scary bad news. This concept with wood-fingers is quite elementary. Its durable, its easy to use, easy to clean. And it does the job very well. I will soon have a 2nd smoker/grill at a vacation property. I saw this item, and did not hesitate. Its very very similar, and since it is lower price, its a better value.Pros:- great price compared to name brand competitor- great feel on the hand hold- solid wood, solid constructionCons:- at the end of the day its still wood. I would like price to be a little lowerProduct Packaging and Aesthetics:Its a nice natural wood look. The hand hold is comfortable in my hands. The finger grooves are positioned well for use as a scraper.Product Quality and Durability:My initial views on product quality and durability are:I am unable to comment, with personal experience, on long term quality and durability.Considering the material and construction, I feel that the wood feel strong. The grill grooves are well shaped. I suspect the leather hanger will eventually give out, but that is ok by me. Solid laminated construction.Using a scale of Poor, Average, and Excellent for product Quality and Durability.Personal Rating: excellentProduct Value:This review is not explicitly about the cost, rather the personal value at that price point.I have a near duplicate of this grill scraper except that it has be grill manufacturer name on it. It retails for 29.99. This item feel just as good of quality, and its much cheaper. Yeah, I think its a good value. At this time of this review this product was priced at $19.99Considering my own opinion on the value for this cost where Poor means its overpriced. Average means its priced appropriately. Excellent means its great value for the price.Personal Rating: (above) averageProduce Origin:Made in ChinaConclusion: Considering everything mentioned above Would I recommend this: yes Would I buy this again: yesDisclosure:This is my own personal Amazon Vine review. It is an honest and true account of my own views, opinions, reactions, expectations relating to this product. I did not purchase this product, however I was provided this product for the expressed purpose of providing a review.
