So I love skulls - I have a few as decoration, but I only get really really good ones - not cheap looking ones that you could get at Home Goods during Halloween. I saw this one, saw the accuracy of it and knew I had to have it.Let me tell you - it look real!! Aside from the light marks to separate the different parts of the skulls - this looks like a real skull, even the teeth look real. I love that the top cap pops off an you can look inside, and the seam is very minor. The jaw is even on a spring loaded hinge, which is a really nice feature. The only thing I found a bit off with it - it comes with a card (its pretty heavy card stock) that tells you what each numbered part is. But for some reason the manufacturer put a big sticker on it with their name. It's clear that you can still see their name was on the card under it, so I am not sure if it's covering something up - but it just feels like a weird detail....not enough to deduct a star since I got this for the skull.Overall, great looking skull. Very nice detail, well made, and a great learning tool. Highly recommended!

I can't speak the scientific accuracy of this, but it seems real enough to me.__I did not order this for scientific study, but rather for a steam punk type statement. It is perfect for that purpose. The jaw moves, the size is startling, the "seams" on the skull seem accurate to the ones I remember in biology classes at uni.__He/She is a bit expensive for the purpose I have in mind, but it's worth the bit of startle it gave my son when he saw this (insert evil grin here). It actually arrived ahead of us, and he didn't realize the box wasn't his, so the “startle” is his own fault.__If you are getting this for study, consider that it could have some "life" in it for intriguing collectable purposes beyond your school days (wink-wink).
