Its metal and pretty cheap... Now the first 5 times I put it together once I finally tightened down the screws it would lock solid... A tiny bit loose and its fine.. I ended up running it a bit with the case screws a little loose.. I suspect the pins finally fully seated it now seems to work correctly.. Hopefully it holds up The machine work in general looks good once I got the mesh shimmed correctly its pretty quiet..

37T Main Gear & Differential Case & Input Gear by Rcarmumb is manufactured with a very hard metal called 6061-T6 Aluminum. It's made to be lightweight and strong. It's CNC machined and the aluminum is very smooth and it's cut very precisely.This differential case fit perfectly, right into my Senton, without any trouble at all. It came with all the washers and O-rings.
