Seems like it is made well, have not put it on my car yet, when I do it might take years to see if it holds up

This was not guaranteed to fit my car, 2011 Mazda 3i SV, I got it anyway and it fit for the most part. I had to really squeeze it in to get it to the same level as the old piece. This item is a bit longer than the original.

It looks like O.E.M. Swapping out is a bit of a pain. Obviously if your doing your rear shocks you'll want to replace these at that time. They attach to a plastic splash guard that you have to sort of "screw" them in to. You kinda have to be careful doing this cause it's just closed cell foam and it wants to tear. You'll see a notch on the top of the cylindrical black plastic splash guard. Think of it as the lead in or first groove in a nut. Then you sort of compress the foam with your thumb as you rotate the end into the notch and keep rotating until the splash guard is in place. Like I said, kind of a pain. Just in case your old one is destroyed while removing it and you no longer have a reference, the big end fits into the upper shock mount, friction fit, and the narrow end goes into the splash guard. On a V.W. golf the upper shock mount has to be removed from the vehicle and is then separated from the shock by removing one nut from the top of the mount. I guess your suppose to replace this part and the blots when the shocks are changed but I didn't see and ware or damage or stretching of the blots that secure the mount so I just reused those parts. The bumper was disintegrating so it had to be replaced.
