Purchased for my 2005 VW Jetta. Just wouldn't start one day, nothing when I turned the key. I thought this might be the problem, it wasn't but it was exactly like the original in fit and form.

The switch has 3 locator pins. They did not fit correctly. I ended up breaking one of the pins to fit it.It works otherwise.

Was a perfect matchup for my MKIV 2005 GTI 1.8T with MT. Wire harness plugged in without issue, ignition turned as expected and no issues starting the car. All my dash lights, headlights, turn signals and all electronics work as expected. This switch has only been installed and used for no more than a few hours but it has had to endure a large amount of start attempts during the short time it has been installed. The car was failing to crank over for unrelated reasons. I am more than happy with this replacement.

I bought this switch for my 2001 Audi A4 2.8q.I decided on changing this first because for about 1-2 weeks (getting progressively worse) when I get in to start up the car, I turn the key, nothing happens except a quiet click (sounds like it is coming from the starter under the car). After a bunch of reading the forms I was able too eliminate that the switch in the automatic transmission that tell the computer the shifter is in ether Park or Nurtural, this is the next cheapest/easiest part swap..It took me about 3-4 hours to change this switch. That time could be drastically lowered after doing it again, as always when working in they older cars be exstreamly gently with all the interior plastic; it cracks very easily. The bad news is that this did not fix my “no start” problem. It is still taking 3,5 up to 10+++ turns of the key before the starter gets full power and cranks the engine over a couple times and starts. My next guessg is that this is a starter/solenoid .. not looking forward to changing that out..

For $9 you simply can't go wrong. It seems OEM quality and solved my ignition issues with my 2003 Audi A4 1.8t quattro. The immobilizer would kill the engine after starting it multiple times in a row, with the immobilizer light flashing on the dash. The key wasn't being recognized due to the faulty old switch. I used some dielectric grease on the terminals when installing the new one, and it works perfectly!EDIT My car is starting to have the same starting issues again, looks like I need to replace this again. Maybe i should have spent $30 on a genuine OEM one. This URO switch might fix your problems for a few months but I'd be concerned with the longevity.

I had an ignition switch to go bad in my 04 Jetta GLI. It cause my AC, fan blower, headlights, wipers, etc to all not function. Took the steering wheel and the plastic trim around the igniton and replaced the switch. Problem solved.**** Heads up, if you take the steering wheel off and have the airbag dismounted. Do not turn the key on to test the switch, as this will result in an airbag fault code which will need Vag Com to clear. Re-connect the airbag and then the battery to test switch.****Always have the battery disconnected while working with the airbag.****Always face the airbag up when you set it aside.****You'll need a torx bit T-55 to dismount the steering wheel.****Dielectric grease should help the switch from future failure.****YouTube is your friend.

This piece fixed my failing 2003 Porsche Boxster. I went to turn the car on one morning and got nothing, no clicking or anything. Read up on the problem and these apparently fail in Porsche's around 100K miles or even earlier. Apparently a $150 fix at the dealership. Took me about an hour and a half because of where it was.The life-saving tool for me was an old flat head tech deck/finger board screwdriver. Yes, I'm talking about the one that's not even an inch tall. You have about 2 inches of clearance to get a screw driver in there and it's tiny. You need to get your head and hands in there. I'm 6'2" 155 lbs and barely fit in the footwell to get at this piece.

Junk. I'll never learn that you get what you pay for. Arrived on time and I immediately installed this in my 2000 beetle. One of the prongs was loose but I installed anyway. Car started but it was hard to turn the key. None of the accessories worked. I went up to the dealer and paid 4 times more for a factory part - fit perfect and worked just as it should. I could have saved myself a few days of waiting and futzing with a bad part if I just bought from dealer in the first place. Save your money and time.

I bought this as a replacement for my original unit, which failed after 12 years of service, on the morning that I was selling the car. (of course) Upon inspection, it is obvious that this is an aftermarket replacement, but you can't complain for the price. Fit is good, and it does the job.

Purchased this igniton switch for an Audi A4 from Amazon because the local automotive part retailers wanted $50 and didn't have it in stock. Performed well after installation, but you will notice the return spring has a heavier feel over the factory ignition switch. I recomend this switch for the price, performance and speed of delivery (free for Amazon Prime Members).
