Purchased to go with my Urth magnetic CPL and UV combo. Could use the cap that comes with it, but then risk scratching the CPL when it isn’t in use. Bought this extra magnetic lens cap. Stays on reliably and easy on off when shooting. LOVE the Urth magnetic sets.

Don't use this unless you have a dedicated magnetic converter ring to provide a strong enough magnetic attraction force. The force on this cap per se is so weak.

It is important to note that you will need the magnetic filter adapter ring to use this. The magnetic connection seems very secure, and feels like it won't accidentally get knocked off. However if you have a lens hood attached, it is impossible to get enough of a grip on the lens cap to remove it. You either need to remove the lens hood anytime you want to remove the lens cap, or affix something onto the front of the lens cap to use as a handle for removing it.

La descripción no es clara! La tapa no es magnética al objetivo o filtro, solo es enroscable, y solo es magnética a su misma tapa donde viene, por lo que me siento engañado, tendré que regresarlo.

It’s a decent product, feels sturdy and of good quality. Magnetic closure feels sturdy and not easily knocked off.The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because I am using the Marumi magnetic lens adapter and lens cap, theirs is of better quality. Marumi has a velvet like padding on the inside of lens cap whilst Urth does not. Marumi is also thinner making it a bit more sleek and magnet is stronger as well.I feel Urth could do better at this price point because Marumi is much cheaper.

The item itself is pretty and quality.BUT, what is very disapponting is usability while lens hood is used together with magnetic cap. It's not possible to take off the cap because lens hood is preventing to clutch the cap by fingers.So in my case (Nikkor 24-120 F4) I can't use the cap with hood together. So pity.

I’m genuinely confused how to use this product. I think you need an additional $25 magnetic adapter but there’s no instructions or anything. It doesn’t stick onto the lens by default, and only screws in.

マグネットNDフィルターって薄くて軽いし、取り替えなどの際は非常にスピーディーでねじ込み式フィルターより気軽に使えて良いのですが、収納時にもマグネットタイプの特性を生かしたくても生かし切れないケース（フィルター用ポーチ）が多くて困っていました。フィルター専用ポーチは一枚ずつ入れるタイプで結局大きいし、マグネット式フィルターは案外薄いタイプが多いので、その分ケースがしっかりしたものでないと簡単に割れてしまったりします。このキャップセットでは、磁力が働くのでフィルターを重ねて収納できて表裏が保護されるため多少の力が掛かってもフィルター自体が割れる心配がありません。一枚だけで持ち運ぶのにも最適なので、通常使用するＮＤフィルター以外にブラックミストやクロスフィルター等の通常撮影の脚色用フィルターをポケットに入れておく・・・なんて荒技も気軽に出来ます。他社ではありますが、マルミ社のマグネットＮＤフィルターとも相性が良かったです。マグネット式フィルター自体があまり一般的ではないかもしれませんが、ユーザー必須の素晴らしい商品です。メーカーロゴが裏側にしか入っていないってのが、またオシャレですね。

Nothing magnetic about this cap. You still have to screw it on. Very poor description and no instructions on how to use it. Returning.
