You can secure wire rope, cable, hooks, and other hardware to the attachment point, but they must be used for straight line pulls. The galvanized rigging eye bolts have a thin coating of zinc oxide to protect the steel from elements, and maintains its strength for long-lasting durability. The lifting eye bolts have a working load limit of 5,200 lbs and assembly break strength of 17,500 lbs, so you can trust that the eye bolt to do the job well when it comes to rigging, anchoring, pulling, pushing, or hoisting. This eyebolt does not have a shoulder so it's intended for straight line pulls only. Note: loading at an angle will significantly reduce a bolt's rated capacity; a 45 degree angle reduces it to just 1/4 of the stated rating. I needed him to go through a 5 inch thick round post did the job it was supposed to work great
