I purchased these turn buckles for a decorative canopy that we are designing, fabricating, and installing in Michigan. I was concerned about the threads being an incorrect size and pitch because I had gotten others that did not match SAE thread size or pitch. These were 3/4-10 and all the rod I purchased threaded nicely into them.

These are heavy-duty, good quality turnbuckles. I'm using them to upright a 20 foot tall tree that was partially uprooted and leaning after a recent hurricane. They are working exactly as described.

I'm using two of these turnbuckle to tension a zipline that I'm building. I expect these to do the job since they're rated to 5,000 #. I'm using two to achieve the required tension.

I was just about to return this turnbuckle as one side was jamming up badly because of a rough galvanizing job on the threads. I was hoping to get an exchange for a smoother one, but when I looked they were out of stock. So, I am keeping this one. I oiled it up and screwed through some of the rough galvanizing. It is smoother now. Not perfect, but hopefully good enough. For some applications where you only tighten once it is probably fine. But periodically I will need to tighten/loosen my rigging at the top of a ladder, and that is not a location you want to be fighting with a problematic turnbuckle.

Was installing a 175' Zip line in my backyard and this was perfect I use 3/8" cable and I kinda wanted to go over kill on this part. doubt I'll ever have a problem with it. It has a great span for tensioning the cable.
