The elastic harness straps on my issued M40 finally quit after I became the last person issued them in a long line that probably started with Smedley Butler. These replaced them and are far better and more comfortable.

I bough this back on Sep25 2020 its really good quality makes a huge difference between the stock msa millennium head strap, this is comfortable and breathable and it removes any head pressure this is one of the cheapest best upgrades ever

I've got an M17 mask from the 70s. The elastic was shot so I thought I'd see if this fit. It is a fantastic upgrade! Better then the original was. More comfortable and more secure.

The headline says it all. I used this on an airsoft style ballistic mask my friend modeled a new look onto because the original straps that it came with kept sliding off due to the added weight of the material he used. This fits on, stays in place, and isn't even noticeable when you wear it even with some extra heft to whatever you've go on.

This is the latest, "Skullcap type" head harness in use with most branches of the military today. Many were made because they provide a more comfortable, even fit than the older butyl rubber type, and because they can be retro-fitted to MOST six-point based older gas masks (I know that they will fit the M17, M40/42/45, MCU and many of the MSA line of masks). Easy to replace, and no hair pulling make this a must have if you have an older- but still functioning- mask.
