Description
Ultrasonic homogenizer, also known as Sonicator, is used in a laboratory for mixing, emulsifying, homogenizing, disrupting cells and reducing particle size in a sample.
The ultrasonic generator converts electric energy to very high-frequency ultrasonic wave through a converter which contains piezoelectric crystals.
The ultrasonic wave produces cavitation through the liquid, resulting in homogenization and disruption of cells.

Purchased this 1200 W Ultrasound unit in August, 2020. It's now March, 2021 and this cell-disruptor/sonicator has BURNED OUT. Have used this unit from time to time since August, 2020, always taking great care to handle all aspects properly and conscientiously. Never exceeded 70% of the unit's output capacity. Always operated the unit with its probe properly inserted into liquid medium (either water, light weight oil, or combination of these and similar light liquids).Three days ago, POOF, a dull sound during standard operation. Sonicator ceased to function. Yes, the fuse was blown (replaced it). Started the unit back up after fuse replacement, lights back on, but NO OUTPUT by the probe. Unit is now worthless. More than $2000 down the drain. And yes, now begins my quest for seeking to access either repair and/or replacement. Thus far it seems highly unlikely the company that shipped the unit (Joyfay Intl in Cleveland, OH) will do anything to reply to my calls or to offset my purchase. ???
