Pretty durable for an all plastic construction. Bulkier in person than it would seem from dimensions of less than 7 inches. Good for irrigation connections that you're going to leave open for a decent portion of the time and therefore might get significant foreign material into the source piping. With the mesh filter you don't even need to worry about replacements and can just flush or wash it out. Interestingly enough it seems that all of the current product pictures have the filter installed backwards. The inlet is supposed to be the "bottom leg" of the Y, i.e. the filter tilts away from the inlet. This has the water going into the center of the filter and filtering outwards. You can then unscrew the center cap at the top of the filter to perform a quick flush of whatever has built up in the center of the filter without disassembling the whole thing and removing the filter for more thorough cleaning. Also it's got quarter inch service nipples molded in already that can be drilled out if you're installing this in a more permanent fashion and need pressure relief valves on it.

I got this for an IBC tote setup I have in my yard. I collect the water off of my roof into it, and I get a lot of shingle grit in it. I want to gravity feed the water through this filter, then a shutoff timer valve, into soaker hoses for my garden. I pressure tested the hose with my house water and there were no leaks. In my application I will be using much less pressure so I have no concern about this bursting. I like that this filter can be cleaned and re-used. There is a lot of internal surface area for the water to move through, so this seems like it will take a while to fill up. I am very happy with the filter and recommend it.

I have well water which has to be filtered for debris. This is perfect got my drip irrigation system. No lie, it’s bigger than it looks in the images. The mesh filter works great for my needs. If it leaks at first, replace the hose gasket or use 2.

This filter is larger than filters I’ve used in the past. There is more filter surface which I believe gives a more consistent flow for a longer period of time between cleanings. I’ll admit I have been guilty of waiting too long to inspect filters. We have very hard water and I’ve found chunks of calcium crystals which have migrated into my irrigation system and clogged emitters. This 120 mesh 130 micron filter is more than adequate to filter out these particulates.Very easy to install with the swivel connectors included. I do recommend using Teflon tape on your threads for fully leak proof joints.Filter provides uninhibited full water flow and functions as expected. Quality materials and manufacturing. Priced at or below similar filters available at box stores near me that do not come with adapters so a good value in my opinion. The model I received has 2 male knockout nipples I assume is for adding an automatic fertilizer feed line. Haven’t had the time to look into this more but that would be a major plus for me down the line for setting up liquid fertilizer auto feeding. My grading scaleMy ratings are based on one or more of the following characteristics. Please note I consider 4 stars a very high rating.* 1 Star - unsatisfactory - poor quality - misleading or false ad copy - would not recommend to anyone* 2 Stars - below expectations, needs improvement - inferior materials And/Or design - poor value* 3 Stars - meets reasonable expectations of quality, design and durability at the price point* 4 Stars - Exceeded expectation - above average performance of materials, design and craftsmanship - good value - would recommend* Five stars - Truly outstanding - exceptional quality and design - exceeded all expectations of materials, design, craftsmanship, durability and value. Would recommend without any reservations5 point rating scale:* 1 - Unsatisfactory* 2 - Needs improvement* 3 - Meets expectations* 4 - Exceeds expectations* 5 - Truly outstanding

Screws right into place for instant use. Really told back particulates and debris. Workhorse behind this system, very nice screen is sturdy and very easy to clean. Great flow rate and durable housing for the cost.

I don't like leaving low star reviews however, I was really looking forward using this filter for a drip irrigation system I'm installing. It is really well made of sturdy plastic and nice metal hose fittings. The problem was that no matter how tightly I turned the cap that holds the filter in place it leaked around the edges. The O ring that is supposed to seal it was in place and properly seated but even after applying Teflon tape to the threads, which helped, it was still leaking. The system runs off of a well that cycles between 50 and 30 psi so it wasn't due to overly high pressure. This must have been a defective unit since others have not had this problem.

rugged filter to keep sediment from blocking the tiny drip or micro irrigation holes, really thick plastic for the pressure i almost thought it was nylon. o-ring on filter as well as the cap with a threaded drain. 120 micron filter. It's working great with the 100 foot line i setup to keep some clumping bamboo growing.

The FULAIERGD Y strainer/ filter impressed me with it's heavy duty O ring sealed housing and fine mesh strainer cartridge. It connects to your garden hose with 3/4" garden hose ends and it comes with two brass adapters plus sealing rings. The strainer body is thick plastic. The main cap comes off pretty easily, and there is a big O ring to make sure it seals. On the top of the main cap is a small O ring sealed drain cap. The 120 mesh strainer cartridge is O ring sealed at the ends as well. It's a really nice piece of kit.As a suction strainer for a pump or connected to a faucet, this is a rugged strainer that will handle whatever pressure you'd put on a garden hose. It's well worth it's cost if it saves a pump or irrigation equipment from being damaged by debris.
