The backpack features two adjustable straps on the back that can be connected to shoulder straps or suspenders (shoulder straps and suspenders not included). In fact, this backpack was used with M1936 Suspenders during World War II, which is why the shoulder straps of the backpack itself are relatively thin. It has a small side pocket and a large back pocket, both closed with metal buttons. There are also two D rings on the bottom of the pack. If you have M1936 Suspenders, you can pass them through the D rings to secure the backpack.

I had this bag when I was a kid. Sometime in my early teens it disappeared. I've been looking for a replacement for the last 10 years. I'm so excited that I finally have it. It's perfect! I didn't have the shoulder strap as a kid. This one has it. I plan on using it as an overnight bag. Thank you very much.

Very good reproduction of a WW2 musette bag. Very close to the original. Certainly one of the better ones out there!

Why? Because it's too big I want a Musette bag! Not a carry all. Specs say: it is supposed to be 11.4" wide by 11" high. It is actually 14.5" wide by 12.5" high. Too big. Also the two interior compartment dividers are heavy canvas not the thin smooth silk (nylon?) like material used on a REAL musette bag. These unnecessary dividers add weight and eat up flexibility in storage. This bag has two small snap closure side pockets and NO medium sized snap closure front pocket that lies under the closure flap that can be firmly cinched down. Both of these side pockets are too small for much effective use. A real musette bag has only one (why?) side pocket plus the one front pocket. Now the good: the bags outer shell and cinch buckle fasteners are all made of heavy canvas and work properly. The bags flat rear compartment is also made of heavy canvas with a correct snap closure. . However, when you add all five (5) of the full size, 14.5" x 12.5" heavy canvas panels you get much too much excess weight. One other nice thing about this bag are the carrying straps. each of the two end straps is sewed onto the main compartment rear surface - just like a real musette bag, The free ends of these side straps end in large snaps which catch onto everything (a royal pain). Unfortunately these two attached straps are only 5" apart. No reason why they could not be 10" apart - just like a real musette bag. The wider strap attachment makes for more stability when carrying the bag; important as this bag does NOT have a strap handle on top of the closure flap - like a real musette bag. There is also an adjustable length center strap section that ends in sewed-in loops on BOTH SIDES!!! Most musette bags that I've seen have only one loop attached to the center section which makes it (the center strap) useless.Musette bags were used to carry food and ammo and everything else. This bag is NOT a musette bag, too big, too heavy, too bulky and NOT elegant and efficient like a real musette bag. I'm reducing the rating down to 3 stars.

Je pensait que le sac allait etre plus grand et allait avoir des bretelles comme un vrai sac a dos. Je suis décue, il a fallu que je commande 2 fois et recevoir un retour avant de recevoir le produit car en chemin, il na pas pus se rendre.
