The photos are incorrect, but the description is correct. I was able to significantly lower the gearing on my bike with this.

Got spoiled by the low gearing on my gravel bike and decided to go lower on my touring bike. 2008 Ultegra FC-6603 "Racing Triple" 10 speed crankset, went from 53/39/30 to 53/39/26. Only one ride so far but seems to work fine - shifts smoothly and the chain clears the deraileur cage swithout adjustment. It is labeled 6061, and has a very nice Teflon Hard Coat anodized finish which I expect to hold up well. Quite pleased with my purchase.

One of my training rides includes a 4-mile section that is crazy steep, so I replaced the small chainring on my road triple with this one in a 26T. On the first ride I detected more noise than normal, but after 4 miles of grinding mostly on the 26T, the noise went away. Inexpensive chainring, and when I wear it out I will celebrate and buy me a new one.

I purchased this for my road bike,to go from a 32/44 setup to a 26/44. This gives me a lower gear for very steep climbs. Since this chainring will see a lot of work, the stronger the better. The description clearly says this chain ring is made out of 7075 aluminium, but I received a 26 tooth chainring clearly marked 6061. 6061 is a cheaper alloy than 7075 and will be worn by the chain more quickly. I would only want 7075 or steel construction for this chainring.I am returning the chainring.

The smallest available chainring up is 38 teeth. The jump from my 39 to 24 throws the chain off and required much adjustment to make it work at all.

I bought the 26t ring for my FSA 5 bolt crankset. The bolt holes are a smaller diameter than the crank arm and this chainring does not fit. Kind of pointless for me to send a $17 chainring back when there is a $10 restocking fee.

The product description when I bought this said "thick-thin," which USAMade confirmed via email meant narrow wide. I bought it and it turned out to NOT be narrow wide. USAMade accepted the return and changed the description. If you don't need narrow wide, this is fine. If you do need narrow wide in a 74mm BCD, you're apparently out-of-luck -- I haven't found anyone that makes one.

I purchased this for my touring bike, basically to go from a 30/39/50 to a 24/39/50. This gives me a lower granny gear for long or very steep climbs. The description clearly says this chain ring is made out of 7075 aluminium, but I received a 24 tooth ring clearly marked as being 6061 aluminium. This is a softer aluminium that, at least in theory, will be deformed by the chain more quickly and therefore will not last as long. I still plan to to keep it, as it's just a bail out gear for me, and I probably will not use it as often as my other chain rings. However, if you plan on using this chain ring heavily, I recommend going with something in 7075 aluminium or even in steel.Other than the aluminium being basically a downgrade, it installed easily and my shifting is working fine with only minor adjustments. So 3 stars because of the misleading description and probably shorter life. In truth, the fact that it was described as 7075 aluminium was one of the reasons I ordered it in the first place.
