this shows up, out of the box, as /dev/ttyACM0 (thats a zero, not an O) on most Linuxes. And the accuracy is pretty bad with the internal antenna. however, it improves greatly with an external antenna. I'm not sure how it reconciles the difference between internal and external antenna locations, but I'm using it for time, not location. The silkscreen on the board is a bit misleading in that it has TXD/RXD when that's actually USB D+/D-. I removed the connector and had to do a double-take when I soldered on what needed to use and rechecked that it was USB an not rs232. I suppose there may be a mode for the chip where it can do either that is set at the factory.... lsusb shows it up nicely and you can watch in minicom with 115200/N81 if you like too. The PPS has a 10% duty cycle that matches the green LED flashing. once I get this project done, I may update this with position and timing jitter information.

this is absolute GARBAGE. Dont purchase this.. I let it sit outside for almost 12 hours with a clear view of the sky and it will not get a fix on a single satellite.

Using on my Pi and have had 0 issues getting it working and keeping it working. It has an LED that blinks green when its got a satellite lock that is very useful. Be aware - It's a little wider than standard USB devices and it partially covers the USB port next to it, making that port unusable. Simple solution is a 3" USB extender or a 90 degree right angle extender.

This thing was maybe accurate to +/- 10 meters after sitting for a day.Pretty disappointing. Not recommending anyone buy this.

Shielding wasn't properly soldered onto board and fell off. Poor manufacturing quality.

As long as it works, which it does, it's good. Just try to keep it away from heat and EM noise sources!
