Replacing USB Type C ports, this tool is valuable to determine if you have any shorts from your solder work before plugging it in.

If you need a breakout board, you don't really need a huge breakdown on what this does. But, I really love the fact that this is double-sided. The previous board I had worked just fine, but it had it's limitations. This board works perfectly and gives you so many options that boards with a single plug doesn't. Including checking voltages and continuity between the charger and device. Absolutely fantastic little board and I couldn't be happier with it.

This USB-C breakout board allows easy access to all pins. Obviously, this has good educational values. Also, it allows monitoring or intercepting live data. It opens up possibilities for new applications. I really like the idea to make this breakout board. I wish it has per-soldered pins for used with jumper cables.

I got these with the hopes of adding two pulldowns to trigger 3A@5V from an upstream PD device... But found that the resistors are already there (only visible in final picture).I'm not sure why the ground and the shield aren't shorted, but it's easy enough to do as they left pads for it. Build quality seems fine - my biggest complaint is that I would like to see heavier traces on the power pins - I'd like to actually use those 3A.Will update if I have any problems, but at a first pass these seem great!
