Very useful ductile wire for hanging pictures, temporarily securing items, and, well, trip wire. In the coming struggle, you might just need to use this product for security reasons. The two colors of wire supplied will blend into just about any environment.

Looks to be about 22 gauge wire, or at least it is the closest one I had in size to it. Wire is wire so it seems strong enough for most tasks. The coloring appears to be some kind of paint that is flaking off though.

Really liked buying these to get exposure to the different types of wires and lines to use for off grid camping, hiking and hunting. Its nice to have all of these lines on one spool for a convenient easy way to carry all these. I would recommend and purchase again. Also, it is good exposure to a variety of ways to use and find the best material for snares and different means of trapping game or trespassers. Maybe, who knows?

If you are into Survival or any type of Emergency prep then you'll want to add this to your list of must get's. In the field of hunting or combat this is one of your best friends, you can use it to the best of your imagination will allow you to. In the old days such as WW2 and up this was a item troops on both sides used, this item here was used in Vietnam by both sides to set up a number of different traps, turning a "Safe Area" into a "Kill Box" with just a little imagination. The Vietnam army would use it in many ways, one would be to tie it to bamboo sticks then configure them in a way that would allow them to be triggered via the US troops setting or moving something, or just passing thru a area that could either kill or wound 1 or more troops causing the effect of fear. This can be used as good as you can think it up, anything you can imagination is this items limit.Great for hunting small and mid level game by setting up snare traps, such as lopped or hooped wires set to a weight that would pull or smash the animal or catch it to allow you to come back and eat it. If you go this route make sure to set up 5 to 10 traps in game trails so that your more likely to catch something, make sure to stay away from the trail its self and don't touch the snares with your hands, the less the better, animals can tell if you've been there.and thats all ! Happy Hunting!

I haven't used it all up, and so It will still be in my fanny pack for when I need it. I hope I never do because I haven't been very good with snares.

I just received this in the mail 7/15/13. took about 9 days to get my order. exactly what I expected it would be. will be good for snare traps. Now I just gotta learn more about snare traps.. but I digress. Good survival addition to the ol' frady pack. I can see how some might have gotten some rusty spots on their orders. But mine was just about as good as you could ask for considering the price AND its from the Vietnam era. So as expected, kind of aged.. But still very strong. Defiantly strong enough to snare a rabbit or squirrel or rat or any small game you decide to murder. If u get a rusty one don't bitch and send it back. Then get them to send your unlucky ass another one. cause for the price, you will not find better. Oh its just plain strong wire. no pre-made nooses or loops or anything like that, and its little bigger than a beer bottle neck. Bud light...

I love all things outdoors, and hunting, fishing and legally trapping surely fall into my way of life.I eat as much wild game as the state will allow me to take and trapping is high on my list. Wild game, if prepared well, has a taste that is so much better than processed meat that it is hard to describe.I mix various grinds and create my own "mustard burgers" - game of various types, plus wild onions and peppers, grilled, of course and eaten on homemade buns with lots of mustard we grown and process with fried wild onions in butter (we don't make the butter, yet, but we do plan to with goats milk).I love to grow and harvest my own food and of course, that includes meats of every type the law will allow me to harvest.
