Yeah I am not even going to look at some obvious other issues with this product, lets just jump right into the main issue the fact that this company thinks UVC is skin safe. IT IS NOT!! UVC has a small wavelength 200-235nm that is considered "safer" than other UVC due to its limited penetration depth. This doesn't mean ITS SAFE. In fact that is an admission that its harmful, but less harmful than other UVCSo first some basic info about UV light and what wavelengths can destroy bacteria/viruses. It is a specific UV range that is capable of destroying bacteria and viruses. That range is 250-270nm, with the most optimal being 262nm. It is important to understand that not all UV light is capable of disinfecting. Additionally some of the UV light, such as UV-A and B wavelengths are harmful to humans and animals because they can penetrate skin and cause damage, which could lead to skin cancer, cataracts and even the suppression of the immune system. Additionally the UV light this device claims to have is UV-C, which is also harmful to humans. Except the manufacturer decided to advertise it as skin safe. This is not true. UV-C has exposure limits set by the ACGIH. These limits exist because they know very well that they are harmful to humans. So yeah avoid a product like this. The reason UVC disinfectant devices are typically enclosed inside of HVAC where UV light cannot leak and come in contact with humans or animals is because its harmful. Contrary to what this company claims its not safe. For those curious, the ozone and earth atmosphere allows precisely zero UVC light to reach earths surface. On a side note, think this one over in your head and ask the important question... WHY WOULD EARTH ALLOW VIRTUALLY ZERO UVC LIGHT TO TOUCH ITS SURFACE if this light were "Skin safe" as the manufacturer wants to advertise?

This Dome is a little bit silly because it only fits handles that stick out from the side and doesn't fit regular door handles. It feels like it's more useful for office locations more than home so there's no real need for you to buy this for yourself unless you're an extreme germaphobe. I'm not an extreme germaphobe so I could not tell you if this is actually cleaning any handles or not. If this was portable maybe I can see myself using this more so but this is a stick and forget kind of device.

It works for a certain kind of handles only, meant for commercial use, not home.

I installed this over our garage door handle since we use that whenever we take out the trash. Easy to install with instructions and gives peace of mind that our door handle is sanitized. Time will tell how long it lasts, but quality appears to be great and so far, it's working perfectly.

For $45 this door handle UV light sanitizer is expensive. Furthermore, it doesn't work. It's made of plastic and after charging the battery (LED turns green) it doesn't do anything. No UV light, dead as a door knob. Very disappointed.

When installed on the door, because of its large size it makes it inconvenient to use the door handle. There is only a small amount of room to fit your hand between the handle lever and the AGD UV Light Sanitizer. My hand comes very close to being stuck in that narrow space. I would not feel comfortable with customers using it in a commercial location since someone could hurt their hand. Since it is made for commercial use only, it should be made of metal instead of cheap plastic. None of these matters for me since I don't think it even works. There are no lights or other indicators that it is working even though the battery is fully charged.

This was a good add on for our short term rental. Easy to install and seems to work well.

Firstly, the included materials state this is not intended for home use and is intended for commercial use.The mounting system is very clever and makes installation very easy, but it is only effective on the "flat handle" lever doorhandles commonly found in commercial settings. Without that specific type of handle the mounting bracket will not be able to fit and cannot hang for easy mounting.Includes a very large adhesive mounting option or the bracketed mounting option to make screwed installation easy. The images of this product concerned me, as they show the UVC diodes active when a hand is present. This is NOT how it works in operation. All logic, including charging, is done on a single board. The UVC lights will not engage when motion IS detected via the bottom facing PIR sensor on the top of the interior of the device. After a brief period of inactivity and no motion the UVC lights will then turn on for a minute or two and then turn off. This will repeat every time motion is detected again and then it returns to a state of no motion. The diodes appear to be legitimate UV, but I don't have the testing equipment to verify this. I did expose some vegetation to them and saw an acceleration of ripening but not wilting indicating they aren't ridiculously overpowered.I did attempt to look up the markings on the PCB for the UV diode but found not results. I have supplemented this review with an image of it.I was quite surprised to see this runs off 4 18650 cells, 2 pairs in series for 7.2v output. Quite a large capacity!Once mounted, it's a little awkward since vision is obstructed but it's not that big of an inconvenience.
