They worked great for what we needed.

I cannot even give a zero star review! The hex portion of the screw is neither metric or standard size. The hex is too tight and you have to FIGHT to get your allen wrench out of the fastener. Otherwise, they are silver (likely stainless, though acknowledge they are Chinese and could be anything) and had the proper 1/4-20 standard thread.Don't waste your time if you think you will ever have to remove these fasteners!

These are excellent for use in fiberglass. Key is using the proper tool to set them. I bout another kit that was not stainless steel just so I could get the little tool. I used these for mounting the hard top on my 1933 Hot Rod. The builder had used traditional Rivnets which sometimes spin in the fiberglass. These don’t. The expand much like a wall anchor that spreads with 4 wings. I used 1/4-20. I used stainless steel threaded studs in this case instead of bolts. Allows for easy top removal.

I should have known how difficult it would be to bend a stainless steel rivet nut. I couldn't get these to successfully bend and secure in position. I ended up giving up on rivet nuts and cutting an access hatch in my boat seats for through-drill bolting of boat seat pedestal bases. To be fair, I was using a homemade rivet nut tool and not a tool built for installing these. You may have better results with a rivet nut tool (plus nut tool actually). But I'm thinking that stainless might give even a true rivet nut tool problems.
