Well worth the price. I've built my own in the past, but for this price I can't see taking the time to make my own for non-critical applications. The components used are not high end, but are decent quality. The crossover point on both units I received seems to be lower than the advertised 3500Hz, but not so much that it is an issue in my particular application. I would be quick to rate 5 stars at this price point if the crossover frequency been more accurate as compared to the advertised spec.I'm a mobile DJ and I am using these in a cheap pair of small PA speakers that I use as "stage" monitors on the rare occasions that I setup for karaoke and otherwise I use to get sound into a small backroom or other spaces in locations that are somewhat isolated from my main speakers. Unfortunately, being cheap PA speakers, they lacked a crossover beyond a cap. on the tweeters. After installing these crossovers, the sound is much clearer and I am also able to push a little more power to the speakers without distortion.Bottom line - Would I use these to replace crossovers in my higher end speakers? No, there are better suited options for that (usually either OEM parts or custom built). Do I recommend these for consumer speakers or lower-end professional speakers that lack a crossover? Absolutely, so long as you have basic soldering skills.

I purchased these as a less costly alternative to a pair of Dayton crossovers purchased from Parts Express.I am not a speaker expert and have no understanding of the mathematics of crossover design and tuning. All I wanted to do was make a functioning pair of speakers from a set of EPI 100's (model 3, from the Harmon International management, generally considered to be the worst of the EPI 100 series. I had never heard the earlier models, but the model 3's really were not very good. Just big black boxes.) I had purchased in 1990.The woofer surrounds rotted and I do not even remember what happened to the tweeters (most likely a cone type like the ones in the EPI 70's model 3, same vintage) or the crossover, again most likely the same as the 70's, which are just 2 capacitors (?) hot melt glued to the back of the plastic terminal plate.I purchased a pair of 1" dome tweeters, a pair of 8" woofers and a pair of really large capacitors (with the same values as what the original EPI model 100 had) from PE. Assembled all this and the speakers worked. The bass was quite good but the high's were very bright and pretty much non-listenable. What I did not realize was the difference in sensitivities of the woofer and the tweeter. I ordered the $26.00 (each) 3k crossovers from PE hoping that would help. They did sound better, but still not listenable and certainitly not for what they cost. When I saw these uxcell's I figured for the price and the positive reviews they should work. And they did, much better than the Dayton's. They could not solve the problem created by the different driver sensitivities, but somehow they now sounded much smoother and cleaner and these old speakers were now very listenable. I have since learned what is needed to cure the problem are L pads to attenuate the tweeter levelI then read the excellent review (The Real Deal) and purchased another pair of these uxcell crossovers and installed them in a pair of Polk T-15's as he had mentioned and these crossovers totally transformed the Polk's from good sounding but with very certain driver crossover issues to a pair of really excellent speakers considering the price.I am not reviewing the Polk speakers, I only wanted to share my very pleasant experience with these excellent filters.I have since purchased another pair of these for my other Polk T-15/s.I have also tried these in the EPI 70's and the Sony SS-MB100H with the same great results. I wanted to install them a pair of Sony SS B1000's but was not able to remove the woofers to get inside the cabinet (the screws are fake and are nothing more than moldings in the bezel, does anyone know how these woofers ARE mounted?)If you want to really improve an inexpensive pair of small speakers and have some fun, purchase these!

After reading the reviews on these 2-way crossovers, asking questions on Amazon with little help or no replies and researching upgrading my Minimus 7 (metal cabinet made in Korea) and 7W speakers (wood veneer cabinet made in Japan); I cautiously ordered these.I used these in my Minimus 7W speakers because I wanted to upgrade the speaker terminal spring clips to the binding post/banana plug posts (which I purchased on Amazon (Pixnor DIY Home Car Stereo Screw Cup Connectors Subwoofer Plugs 2-Way Speaker Box Terminal Binding Posts; nice addition to the speakers).I had seen many A/V forums mention the ebay homemade upgrade crossover that someone was offering for $39 plus shipping and some that had to be constructed DIY but to do it would be costly just to buy each part (some parts were in a multi pack some weren't)But these were an exceptional find because of the price and being a real 2-way crossover and not the Minimus crossover that only had a capacitor & coil inductor to the tweeter and open to the woofer so no high frequencies were filtered to the woofer!I salvaged what I could from the old Minimus 7W crossovers, the wires, capacitors and inductors; used the wires for the new crossovers; hot glued the crossovers in after the speaker wires were soldered to the circuit board; then soldered the wires to the contacts for the speaker wire terminal posts; replaced the insulation, attached the tweeter & woofer, doped the woofer (found info on this from forums & blogs; several ways to dope the woofer) then hooked them up as surround back speakers once again.I could only say, "wow, nice sound!" I could not believe the improvement in them! The woofer sounded much better and more like mid-woofers should and I still had the highs of the tweeter! I could have easily spent $50 or more for new surround back speakers but these crossovers are a terrific improvement! After resetting the Audyssey setup on the DENON AVR the sound was great! The crossover frequency for these speakers went from 100 + or - down to 40 Hz!I suggest anyone who has a decent pair of Minimus 7 speakers to do this upgrade; I had seen in reviews others have used different bookshelf speakers with improvements but, wow, it's amazing what these crossovers do for $13 a pair! These would probably be great on the Minimus 77's also!I highly recommend these!
