The fact that the part is available is nice but it falls short of having the quality needed to last.Just testing it in my hands and the paint came off the knob. The knob is not press fitted but set screwed. Now matter how snug you make them it is loose within minutes. The shaft appears to have been grounded by hand. The decks are supposed to be constructed of a material that can handle some heat but any amount of soldering will melt/deform the deck. Lastly there is some slop in switching that allows the pins to not completely line up. If i could i would fix this but i don't think this will last. The manufacturer no longer has this style of switch available from their Amazon Store.

Once again, a well made rotary switch at a great price. Very quick delivery. Thanks! These switches are sort of retro in their design, porcelain decks and what appear to be silver plated brass contacts. Very nicely made. I'm also using their lighted vandal proof switches to power 12vdc fans. Also a very well made switches that have been functioning flawlessly every day for years now.

Maybe other people are getting a different switch, but the one I received had a lot of slop between switches. It's physically noisy as you make the switches too. It seems to be break before make, which can lead to noise when switching audio signals. There are other switches that look extremely similar to this coming out of China that are larger and better quality, but still are break before make. They are also cheaper. Personally I'd just buy a Grayhill and be done with it.

Switch turns approrpriately easily. However, the deck melted in several spots while soldering to the terminals, which should not happen. As long as you are very careful to keep the heat down while soldering, this appears to be an acceptable product.
