Assuming the magnetic wheel of the encoder contains 3 magnets then my measurements obtain close to 23,000 RPM @ 6 volts. If indeed the shaft is turning at 1,000 RPM then the gear reduction box is close to 23:1. The wiring is unconventional non standard. Black wire for Encoder circuit positive, Blue wire for Encoder circuit negative. White wire for motor negative. The motor is very quiet. A green LED lights up when the encoder receives power. Torque is low but is expected as torque is inversely proportional to speed. It is the lack of motor and encoder specifications that prevent this motor from being a 5 star rating. If the specs aren't of importance to you then this is the motor for you; but if you need a motor with an encoder then the specs will be important to you. You can't have accurate measurements if your input data is all wrong.
