This product is great, after spilling an entire water bottle on my center consul my BMW it fizzled out my hazard and door unlock buttons, this was super easy to install and now everything works great

Hardest part in replacing this was getting the old one out. It's not a difficult thing, but the old one separated as I was removing it. The new one was plug and drop in. Easy peasy.

This was exactly as described , same as one removed , fixed central locking issue immediately!Only issue I had was going by manufacturers instructions, so double ck w dealer bc after two hours of taking apart console , the only way to the part was through shifter. Removed easily w lifting uo w silicone tool , pushed out old part snapped in the new one ! Book was totally incorrect for the convertible ! Part was perfect !

Central locking button quit first, then hazards button didn't respond. This item was a fast swap out and fixed the problem. Over time, spilled liquids had gotten in the original button and corroded the contacts to a non-working state. Since my 2001 BMW 330ci 'vert is 21 years old, I guess it was time to replace the button. Bad design move on BMWs part to place the button that close to the cup holders imo but they didn't ask me, replacing the button took about 5 minutes. Easy fix, good price, a month later there have been no issues.

I just replaced the original switch in my E46. It's the same part across all model years. The electrical connection was secure, trim fitment was good, and both buttons function. I will update this review if I have any issues.
