How to Install an In Line Switch?
-Slit the cord where you want the switch.
-Cut apart the line and insert the cord into the wire channel on the switch bottom.
-Press the switch halves together and tighten the switch screw.

I had a lamp with a foot pedal switch that failed after little use. I disassembled the switch housing, and found the interior switch to be of the same dimensions as this product. The original switch had a press release mechanism that made it very difficult to remove the wires. This replacement switch has screw in fasteners to hold the wire tight - a greatly improved design. The new switch works great, and I have three replacements in my drawer that I will probably lose before I need again. Happy fixing!

Mieux conçu que l'original, avec une vis pour serrer chacun des fils, au lieu de simples lamelles de métal en serre. Fonctionne bien pour le moment.
