浴室用給湯器が壊れたので、投げ込みヒーターで湯沸かしをするために購入。温調器につないで精度を確認すると実用上十分な精度。メッシュのシースも適度な柔軟性でなかなか良く出来た印象。しかし３～４日浴槽に漬けておいただけで写真のように真っ赤に錆びました。さすがに先端の熱電対部はSUSのようですが、その他は表面処理が不十分な鉄製でした。まさか熱電対が真水でこんなに簡単に錆びるとは思わないので、購入する際には用途に十分ご注意下さい。

自作のつぼ焼き窯の温度管理に問題なく使用できてます。補償銅線の付け根保護のバネが、錆て赤くなりました。でもコストパフォーマンスで、文句ありません。

I bought this to use with my casting pots and a PID to control the temperature of the alloy. It works great and well within the tremperature limit of molten lead alloy.

Great product, ordered two, they seem to be reading the same. Did he ice-bath calibration method, got about 33-34 F on both of them. Very good for the price ($7)

After a few months of use the thermocouple failed. The measuring instrument reported "open circuit". I fiddled with it for a bit and realized that pushing the cable into the coiled strain relief made it work temporarily. So I opened that up and saw that the crimp where the wire enters the probe tube is so hard it pretty much destroyed one of the conductors that then broke internally after some months. Avoid this product if you expect to use it for more than a few times.

I got it quickly, seems to work well, the only thing that I am concerned about is that the woven cladding seems a bit "soft". I looks as if there is not internal insulating sheath to protect the thermocouple wires. It is working well on my home-made thermal test chamber.

I ordered and received this K Type 50x5mm 800C Probe Thermocouple Temperature Sensor Cable 9.8ft 3 Meters from Amico and feel, so far, it is a good buy. I have not put it to a full test of use, with the Higher Temperatures in my kiln yet, as it is not complete, but will return to this review, if there are any failure in it's use by me. It reads the lower temperatures I have subjected it to and is accurate at these temps for this review.
