I'm rebuilding my flatland riding to the gym and pool bike and these will work fine for that. They are not the best of quality or appearance but for $20 I'd say they fit a purpose for someone who rarely uses the brakes anyway. If I were riding mountain bikes or road bikes at any kind of intensity I'd look for a higher quality set.

I had a lot of difficulty and putting these brakes on my bike. It came with no insulation instructions at all. So I had to look at the photos here on Amazon to see how to install them correctly. After I got them installed and working properly they work great.

I ended up buying a second set of the brakes from a name brand and they worked way better. I figured being able to stop was more valuable than saving a few bucks.

You get what you pay for. For $20 I did get two complete brake kits. I only needed one for my son's bike. It did do its job minus the fact that the end pf the brake handle chipped off and bent leaving a sharp edge upon a few falls. So if you have a 12 year old expect it to hold up and work but take some damage. But you do get two, so you can always replace it, so there is that.Overall I'd buy it again.
