Added to my ShopVac hoses and attachments gives it a reach of maybe 13 feet. As others have suggested, the sections are best duct taped together as the friction fits are not sufficient to keep it together. Others have complained that the nozzle end has too small an opening causing it to clog with leaves easily. I live in a very wet place and even huge soggy leaves and clumps of wet needles are very compliant and do pass through the nozzle orifice easily - only rarely did it plug. So, for routine maintenance, it is best to wait until after the rain has stopped.

I was super surprised this worked so well. I attached it to my craftsman shop vac and it fit perfectly with the other attachments my vacuum had. So I was able to extend it to reach our taller side of the house. It is pretty exhausting holding all the tubes upright so bring your muscles. I wish the nozzle tip was larger but it worked for our poplar and maples leaves. I do not think it would work well with larger leaves. Id make sure the leaves are dry as the suction breaks up the leaves so it can get down the tube easier. Make sure you have the proper filter on your vacuum if you are going to suck up the wet leaves. I think I'm going to put my shop vacuum on a dolly so its easier to pull around. That was the only bad part was tugging a vacuum around a grass yard full of tree roots. Saves my husband from having to crawl up onto the roof once a week during fall. It does not fit a blower unfortunately...I tried hahaha. I wanted to see how well blowing the leaves out would be. But unfortunately the hoses are not big enough. I didn't have any problems with the hoses coming unattached. They fit snug. Great product!

Bought this to clean my ranch style home gutters VS paying someone $75 to do it for me. Worked perfectly and no running up & down a ladder. Sucked the leaves out with my Shop Vac. I had no issues with them not staying together, just twist a little when you push them together and your good to go. May be a different story if you're trying to hang by the wand or maybe using with a blower (didn't try blowing), but no issues just cleaning the gutters with vacuum. Definitely better when the leaves are dry. dumped my shop vac in the yard and mulched them up with the leaves on the ground. Done & done. Very happy.

Wasn't sure if this was going to be a handy gadget, or a silly gimmick, so shopped based on price. Well, it works. Pretty well. Hooked it up to my big shop vac. It mixed well with other assorted flexible and solid tubes and ends that have accumulated over the years as various shop vacs have met their demise. 2.5in outside diameter TUBE on the fat end. *(yeah, I know, these are all slip fittings, so you'd think it would be inside diameter and called pipe, since that is the critical size for joining stuff. ) The pieces are plastic type PP (polypropylene), so despite being black, don't store it out in the sun, it will get brittle with UV aging. Moderately heavy ribbed castings, not much flex, stiff. Stuck together fine while vacuuming, and held together while leaf blowing out the gutters, but a bit of blue tape wrapping the joint for security might be wise, as others have noted, they may blow apart, and, being brittle, may crack if they land on concrete and such, or you manage to step on them.

You have to be sure everything is in place and well insert. Do the job perfectly.Il faut s'assurer que les tuyaux sont bien connectés avant de débuter le travail. Ça fait le travail parfaitement. Personnellelement, je n'utilise pas le bec en entonnoir pour permettre de bien ramasser les feuilles.

The product worked as expected. I decided to cut the cone-shaped piece in order to make a wider hole. If your eaves have a lot of debris, the tip gets clogged easily. Trimming a little off to make a wider hole fixed that problem. The pieces do come apart easily but a little electric tape solved that problem.

Amazing!! I wish I bought this 19 years ago when I bought my house. So easy!! Works great!!! I bought this kit to use with a Ridgid 16 gal. 6.5hp shop vac. I was a little apprehensive because it wasn't a Ridgid OEM accessory but everything mated up perfectly and is of good quality. As you can see from the picture a very few of the maple tree seed pods (helicopters) remained because they get stuck in the gutter guards "slots". I was always disappointed with these gutter guards because of this and because they promote ice buildup in the winter. Since this accessory makes it so easy to clean the gutters I may just remove the gutter guards. I'm sure there's all kinds of gunk that worked its way into the gutters through the small slots and is hidden and impossible to get to because of the guards. I expect this accessory will make gutter guards unnecessary allowing access to fully clean mud, sand etc. from my gutters on a regular basis. I added one (Ridgid) accessory "head" (See pic) to the hooked part to get up on my roof to vacuum seed pods that didn't quite make it into the gutters. The Ridgid shop vac has locking hose and wand parts but this accessory kit does not. However I didn't have any problems with parts coming apart as friction and vacuum keeps things nice and snug. However, If you have problems with parts coming apart just use some duk tape!

When I decided to use this to clean the maple tree helicopters I thought I would be in for hours of work. One set of my gutters are covered with mesh and some of the "helicopter" seeds were wedged in the mesh but it pulled the majority out. This attachment worked great. It didn't get clogged unless a branch got bridged across the opening. I used a Rigid shop vac with 4 extensions, 2 provided plus 2 original with the shop vac. With all of that it still had great suction. Note I didn't use the narrow attachment. Well worth the price.

I wish I would have discovered this kit years ago. It works perfectly with mystery rigid shop vac. No more hauling around a ladder, climbing up and down, fearing a fall off the roof/ladder, handling damp leaves, etc. I have a single story ranch but still had to add two additional sections to the ones included in the kit. Fortunately, I already had two more. I suggest either duct tape or a small set screw to keep the sections together and firm. I completed the job in about 20% the time it would take me to do it via ladder. Also, cleanup was an added bonus. The leaves end up in the shop vac. About 200ft of gutters took me about 30 to 40 minutes. If you do it regularly, the job could be done in about 20 minutes. While not necessary, I used two cell phones with a video conference call to see what I was doing. I mounted one, in a zip lock bag, on a rod. holding the rod and the second phone, my son gave me a birds eye view

These are as nice as the extensions that came with the vacuum originally, but the concept of using them for gutters is not that great. I was hoping it would be good, but your gutters need to be really dry and not very full of junk, for these to clean well. They get clogged up every few seconds, so you spend more time bringing them all back down and trying to unclog them. And that was without the little piece at the end. I can't imagine how much harder it would be, using that small hole to suck leaves into... It's a neat idea, but only if your gutters are not all that full of stuff.
