I bought this item for the purpose of cleaning fans that have collected large amounts of dust in their grates. First thing I noticed was the horse hair gets sucked into the head and doesn't leave an opening for the dust and dirt to be sucked up by the vacuum. Which means the horse hair bristles are not stiff enough and possibly to long.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this Shark vacuum brush is and how helpful it twill be to use for dusting my window shutters and my wood work. It also came with an adapter so it will fit more than one vacuum. The brush bristles are soft and full so it can be used on the floor or on expensive furniture. Wish I had bought this long ago as it is so useful.

Bought this brush "advertised to fit Shark Vacuums" so I could clean the accumulated dust from my older popcorn ceiling near my ceiling fans. Took a great deal of effort to "fit" on my vacuum maybe 1/4 inch, just enough to do my job before falling off continuously. If I had not used it and discarded the original packaging, I would have returned it.

I have a Shark Stratos and when I tried to use this, it sucked the hair into the tool and was useless. worked fine on an older less powerful machine

I had an old Shark but decided it needed a new brush! it turns out it needed new filters, which I have ordered so will see if the old unit works better with the new filters and maybe the old floor brush will work so won't unwrap the new one until I try the new filters! It looks like a very serviceable brush though!!
