This is a very nice valet rod. My older valet rod glides rather loosely, but this one has what seems to be a gasket that the rod slides through, which makes it feel much more substantial. I was also pleased with the size of the rod and the quality of the finish. I have to mount it on a piece of wood in order to clear some trim, but I expected that, and it's a small price to pay for this incredibly useful tool with a small visual footprint.

Heavy duty, easy to install, and a fantastic addition to the closet. I love using it to set my outfit aside while I am getting ready, or to chose the perfect outfit for date night, jewelry and shoes included. Also great for holding outfits while you are planning/packing.

This valet rod comes with screws to mount into both 35mm holes and wood screws. There are big enough slots to line up with a standard closet system with pre-drilled holes. The internal rod pulls out to hang the clothing upon. This is finely made, but it requires a fair amount of strength to pull out and my 81 year old mother could not push it back in. We have other valet rods and they do not have this significant resistance. The valet rod does its job, but why so hard to pull out and push in?

This is a handy item that you didn't think you needed but really appreciate once you have it. It was easy to install and is sturdy. You just pull it out when needed and tuck it back in out of sight when you don't.

Easy to install, easy to use, and great looking. I wanted this as a little luxury for my side of the closet. It fits perfectly on the side of my closet organizer panel, and it gives me a place to hang my outfit for the following day. It's solidly built and functions smoothly. It's a great addition to my closet that makes my morning routine go more smoothly.

Solidly built and comparable to other rods I have installed. I really like the solid feel of the base and smooth finish. I've had some that have multiple indents to strengthen the shape. This one doesn't need it and has a nicer appearance. Rod moves in and out OK yet a little tight at first. Nothing major and I expect it to loosen in time. Two different screw types are included. Typical wood screws and an optional set of blunt screws that go into the pre-drilled holes many closet systems have.My only complaint is that the ball end needs to be exposed when installing vs being able to place flush or even a little back from the forward edge. I like to hide mine but this one you'll see the ball end even when retracted. Not major, but would be nice to have the option.

I’m really impressed with the Valet Rod. It’s much sturdier than I expected, and it’s perfect for my needs. I’m using it to hang my suit jacket near the front door while I wait (forever) for my wife to get ready, and it’s a great solution for that. One thing I like is that when it's not in use, it’s mostly hidden from view (where I installed it), so nobody would even notice it until it’s extended. The installation was simple with the included hardware, but I’d recommend using drywall anchors if you're not installing it on a stud. A great space-saving and practical item overall.
