This is a very good Vallejo paint bottle rack, it frees up a lot of work space on my bench. Be careful assembling it, the fit is very tight and the pressed paper (wood) material is easily broken. I bought 2 and broke a piece on my first assembly. I used a sharp utility blade and shaved the openings up a little.

After reading the reviews on these racks I decided on 2 of these paint racks (got them on sale). First point is I thought they were supposed to be a VALLEJO product but the directions, packaging and absence of a logo on the rack indicate the manufacturer to NOT be vallejo.I suggest taking the advice of the review crowd for these it makes putting them together easily.Directions are very plain but you can seriously see what needs to happen, just common sense.I am certain operator error creates negative assembling outcomes.I put the first together to find the shelves bow (duh, angled shelf in a squared slot) by taking a small bastard file I roughly filed some clearance, put it back together and good! I do believe it to be Masonite.Once assembled a hot glue gun and hit top and bottom of shelf tabs, and hit the underside bottom shelf corners and a bit here and there on backside and the rack is done! Solid!SUMMARY: There’s nothing wrong with these racks! They require a little extra effort and fitting but seriously nothing requiring negative reviews and should be easy for any scale modeler, gundam or crafter. They simply aren’t a take out of the box, put together and use. I am completely satisfied with them at the price point I purchased under. They hold paint, they are lightweight, and the individual who designed these actually did a good job.P.S. I have no Idea at this time what the tabs pictured are supposed to do.

I was a little nervous after reading all the reviews saying it was difficult to assemble, so I opened it up as soon as it arrived to see what was what.Well, OK, first I tried fitting the paint-holding shelves on the center spine, which worked until I put it on its side to connect the end pieces. Didn't work, everything came apart. So I decided to fit the shelves on one of the end pieces, then finessed the center spine onto the center shelf piece.Once it was in, everything else fit together with very little effort.I don't have enough paint bottles to need the attachments, so I can't say how well they fit to the corner piece, but I'm very happy with the corner piece. Pretty solid item for the price.

This is a really smart and well engineered rack for your Vallejo paints and varnishes. It’s laser-cut hardboard and comes flat-packed in a mailer for you to assemble.I really like it! It fits a lot of the paints and accessories I use for my hobbies and fits nicely on the top shelf of one of those three-tiered craft carts.I did take the advice that many offered here to hot-glue the thing together. It’s well-engineered but once the bottles are in, it needs that extra help to stay sturdy. It’s not that big of an inconvenience to take this step, especially if you’re a hobbyist anyway.I really love the form factor. I like that it came flat packed and I even sort of had fun assembling it. I like that it’s not a big bulky expensive piece of plastic or something. It’s the kind of thing I would have designed myself if I had the tools to manufacture it!

I bought this as I have various paint manufacturers for my model hobby and hoped it would do for other makers other than Vallejo. Don't get me wrong I do have some Vallejo paints but I have alot more Humbrol. The build quality is really good, it's easy to set up and is solid so the weight of the paints on it is covered on build quality. Works well with Humbrol and I have no fear in attaching it to the wall in my hobby area to gain space where my paints were.

These are fantastic. I now have two. They assemble relatively easily. A bit of white glue on the joints helps. The easily bear the weight of a full load of pain and fit all standard size paint bottles (Reaper, Warpaints Vallejo) very well. They have made my studio more organized and enhance my workflow.

Mine was easy to assemble with wood glue (and super glue 'tacks'), and provides a very stable home now for about 50 Vallejo paints. As I test fitted each piece together (sanding/trimming for best fit if necessary), I used a dab of super glue to securely tack all the pieces together. Afterwards, with the unit upright, I added white glue fillets to the tops of each shelf join at the sides (and both sides of the mid-section). I then turned the unit upside down, and did the same at the bottom of each shelf/side join, and set the unit aside to dry overnight. It ended up being very sturdy indeed. For storage of Vallejo/Mig/Reaper MSP/Army Painter/etc. paints (and some narrow handled paint brushes), it's a fine sturdy product. The top shelf is designed to hold 10 17ml bottles at the front, but the back row includes 8 larger holes for 2 ounce Folk Art (or GW sized/other large containers of paint). For more serious paint collectors and less money however, a "Home-it Nail Polish Holder Acrylic 5 Step Counter Display" (available also here at Amazon), will hold around 80 Vallejo or 50 GW size paint bottles in a bit less desk space. I have one and it's great, and the two products together store my entire Vallejo/GW/Army Painter/Apple Barrel/other collection. I probably will add another Home-it unit soon, as my collection is expanding. For larger paint collections and a bit more money, there are also other nail polish units available here at Amazon.com. For example, a wall unit for 102 bottles of nail polish (not quite 2' x 3' x 2") would hold 120 Vallejo (or around 96 GW/other large) size bottles. Get what you like, but an open mind for your storage needs doesn't hurt a bit, and who doesn't like saving money and desk space?
