Seems to be made of some inferior plastic. We used to have three in our lab and they all got broken.

Despite it's price, compared to the Eppendorf brand and others, this pipette is accurate, (1mL of water weighed 0.9986g). It accepts most universal tips. Knobs are easy to turn. Cleaning and servicing is quick, easy and simple.
