Leaked from the cast not the valve itself. There were pin holes from a faulty casting. Plus stainless does not give. I’d changed to brass which was flawless.

I replaced a 1.5" PVC ball valve with this stainless steel valve. The plastic valve lasted a couple years and was very difficult to turn on and off. This valve appears to be very well made and has a nice long handle which makes valve operation easy. So much better than the PVC valve. Yes, I would recommend this valve.

Unit is full port, turns tightly but without catching, and is threaded well, though the threading was a bit short.

No problems with the valves - use them in my lawn irrigation system. Need to use a proper sealing cord.

Had trouble get this on an existing copper MPT fitting.... apparently you should use nickel filled tape or sealant.... since I was freshoutta that stuff, I put some anti seize on the treads with yellow ptfe tape and no leaky.... I found thin threads of copper the ss FPT had shaved off when I redid this, so had to do a thorough cleanup..... I'm hoping for a shut off that works and lasts more than a few years....

Not as big as the brass valve but a good alternative at 1/2 the price. Works the same and easier to use the handle to open/close the valve under my smoker.

I'm using these in a compressed air pipe system and they stand up to 135psi very well. I would say that they are the Chuck Norris of NPT Female 316 Stainless Steel Full Port Ball Valve with Vinyl Handles.
