The display constantly changes on its on, randomly. I have it set to display only the time. It’ll go blank, like up full bright and display every character/option. It’s a piece of junk.

I can't say enough positive things about this safe. It's very well packaged so it arrives in good condition, easy to set up and functions very very well. I've owned cheaper similar products and candidly they've all disappointed. Ways this safe outshines other competition I've tried:- Incredibly reliable and consistent finger print opening - lesser products are VERY finicky here and ureliable which isn't acceptable given the purpose of this safe.- Robust set of programming options, the ability to have two master finger prints and a master code that enable addition of other codes/finger prints is intuitive and secure.- The drawer slides smoothly and quieting - again on lesser products it's typically loud and clunky or far too slow.- Numerous options for configuration, lighting, etc. all accessed very easily through their app which is well thought through.- The charging options are fantastic and work very well, it easily aligns my iphone without me having to really pay too much attention or even look and having extra USB A & USB C ports on the back are perfect for other devices I regularly charge on my nightstand such as a weapon light or iPadFinal comment, Vaultek support is fantastic. I noticed a faint beeping sound on the first unit I received, they worked with me to troubleshoot and when we weren't able to resolve it they sent a replacement and return shipping label without hesitation. The new unit is flawless and doesn't exhibit the behavior. It matters a lot to have a company stand behind their products and Vaultek demonstrated that they do. Every product has a fluke from time to time that doesn't function perfectly... not every company takes care of it when it happens. This has a huge value to me, can't recommend the DS5i Smart Station or Vaultek enough.

Let’s get real—this thing is huge. Like, "Is that a safe or a mini fridge?" huge. And yet, despite its impressive bulk, it barely fits a VPL handgun. For something that looks like it could store the Ark of the Covenant, it’s wildly underwhelming. It’s like buying an SUV that can only carry one suitcase—it doesn’t add up.Now, the Vaultek is meant to be displayed out in the open, and for $500, you’d expect it to make a statement. And it does—but not the one you want. It’s more “Look at this enormous thing I overpaid for!” than “sleek and functional centerpiece.” It’s just there, sitting awkwardly, taking up way too much space for how little it holds. If you’re going to put something this massive in your living room, it should at least double as a coffee table or small shelter.Let’s talk features. Bluetooth app support exists, but finding the right app is like a scavenger hunt you didn’t sign up for. Vaultek apparently thought having multiple apps was a great idea, so good luck figuring out which one will actually talk to your safe. The USB ports on the back? Fantastic. No complaints. The charging pads? Temperamental at best—they work sometimes, but not enough to rely on.As for the alarm function? I thought I’d at least get a wake-up alarm since this thing looks like it could double as an overpriced bedside block. Nope. No alarm. No nothing. It’s just there, staring at you silently, offering little more than existential dread about your purchase. The display is clear, sure, but the app’s control options are about as advanced as a ‘90s Tamagotchi. If you’re hoping for slick, intuitive features, prepare to be disappointed.Bottom line: For $500, you’re getting a massive, oddly-shaped safe that demands attention but delivers little functionality. If you’re okay with having an expensive piece of furniture that screams “WHY?” while barely holding your handgun and some charging cables, go for it. Otherwise, save your money and get something that’s actually practical.

First and foremost, I don't care if this beautiful clock doesn't come with alarm. This thing is heavy, durable and has a high quality build to it. Has a beautiful touch screen display as well as the sleek wrinkle black paint for that very clean look. Setting it up and app is easy to use. No issues whatsoever with biometric finger print reader. I don't have sweaty hands like others do. Opens right up every time. Keeps my guns out of kid's reach.I have a Gen5 G19 with TLR7X light and EPS MRS green optic and a Gen5 G26 inside there, and they both fits fine. One slight issue though, is that when wireless charging your phone, it get super hot. Could be just my phone but somebody else said the same thing in their review here. But that will not stop me from giving it a 5 stars though.5 Months Review UPDATE(3-11-2025):Both the USB-C and USB Type A on the far left if facing the front of clock stopped working. Contacted Vaultek, and they are shipping me out a brand new one with a return label to ship back the old one. Awesome customer service!

I had a DS2i before buying this and I wanted to upgrade that to this but there is a minor flaw. This thing beeps just enough that I could hear it unless I use the wireless charger on top. DS5i is still a solid gun safe due to its storage capacity, more wireless charging, and usb/c output but I could not bear that minute beeping sound so it stayed in the living room. I wish Vaultek included a built in battery as the DS2i or atleast a 9v for backup power. The AAA battery just loses power quickly.
