My feet are always cold. These are the only socks I wear now. I will be buying more soon! Great socks.

The socks are soft and cozy but nothing overly special. I'll use them for just average winter wear. The reason I'm not giving them a higher rating is because I have some concerns about how they will hold up over time. I've worn one of these pairs twice - always wash in cold and air dry - and it's already pilling. While the socks are comfortable for everyday wear, I will not be rotating these in for hikes. There's not enough support/structure there for me to wear these while hiking.Lastly, they are nowhere near as warm as they claim. A little warmer than your average sock? Sure. But it seems like false advertising to use the word thermal or claim they would be good up to -25 C (-13 F). I wore these under my good Columbia snow boots when we went Christmas tree hunting. The weather that day was only about 20 F (but felt a little cooler due to the wind) and I wish I would have worn thicker socks. They were ok, but I'm glad we didn't stay out any longer than we did.TLDR; if you're looking for just a comfortable everyday winter sock these could fit the bill, but if you're truly looking for a good thermal or hiking sock I'd recommend finding something else.

You always have to be leery of buying purported wool socks online, because often the wool content is less than a third of the overall fabric. In this case, you can check the description to see that these are 70% wool, though they feel much softer than you'd expect. These are very cushy and cozy, and they fit well without being too snug. As someone with neuropathy, I have to be especially mindful with socks and any loose threads. I'm happy to report that even though there is some fun colored thread on the exterior, the interior is soft and plush with no wayward embroidery threads. Very happy with these!

I have pretty much converted all of my socks to merino wool, so these were a great addition. I use them with my hiking boots to keep my feet toasty warm. They are fairly thick and the height of the cuff is roughly mid calf. So far, they have held up nicely just being washed with my regular laundry. I am very happy with them!

I don't think these really compare to proper high-end hiking socks. They don't really have the structure, despite the various different colors suggesting where it might be. But they are warm and thick, and good for loose boots that need extra padding. Color and patterns are kind of boring but, you know, they're winter socks. Summer socks can be cute. Winter socks can be warm. There's nothing in here worth taking a star off for. They're good basic winter socks.

These socks are thick and plush and the colors are cheerful just like the listing's photos. They come in a box that has the care instructions printed in laundry symbols. The symbols mean: wash cool or cold, do not tumble dry (i.e. let them air dry, preferably on a flat surface) plus don't dry them in direct sunlight, and don't iron or bleach the socks. These socks have a standard crew length, comparable to a GoldToe brand's crew sock. I didn't detect any odors from the socks when I removed them from the box. The cufff is snug enough on my calf to prevent the sock from slipping downward, but not so tight that it is uncomfortable. Someone with thick calves may find the fit to be too tight.I haven't worn them enough to determine if the wool pills quickly in high-friction areas of the socks. If they do pill, a fabric shaver should help remove the pills and make the socks look smooth again. If you prefer a higher cuffed sock, you may want to look at the merino wool socks by Meriwool. $19.99 (price at the time of my order) seems reasonable compared to similar products.
