When used properly it is both safe and environmentally friendly. Wood is typically still wet when its delivered to the job site. As it dries, you should expect slight changes in width and length. As lumber dries, it may split, cup and warp. This is more likely to occur to occur in lower-grade boards, where knots and uneven grains are already present

The only reason I ordered here and overpaid by 6x was for my convenience. For the price (and by the picture) I totally expected to receive "Premium" clear Douglas fir! Well, I just opened the package (past return date) and what they sent me is warped and Im pretty sure it's knotty pine?!?I ordered 3 overpriced boards @1"x3" and all 3 appear to be knotty pine?? I ordered 1 overpriced board @2"x4" and it was actually fir... but not "premium" or clear like the picture showed, It's full of knots. I was happy to overpay for convenience, not so much now that I've received the product. Very very disappointing!

The wood was shown to be 1" x 4" it was 3/4 x 3 1/2. There were knots in the wood and both pieces were warped in both directions. Who is to blame? The one who described the wood or the jerk that sent it out. I am usually quite sedate when writing a review. The wood delivered to my door was not worth burning. I returned it because someone should be mentally or physically adjusted. So there it is off my mind. I will indeed continue to purchase wood from and through Amazon. Edmc2

The wood received is very poor quality with staples, chips, torn edges, etc.
