This thermometer fails in so many ways. You have to fight with it EVERY TIME to get a F or C reading.The worst part? The temp is NOT BACKLIT! So you can't possibly see it.It says "8 second" but it never beeps!What a waste of money.

This Veridian 08-362 8-Second Flex Tip Digital Thermometer gives me a temperature so quickly, it's really impressive! However, the readings are too variable. In under a minute, I saw results from 98.6 to 99.2. I think I could use this to determine whether I had a fever but not with precision. For a fast reading within a range of a degree or more, this could be useful. When accuracy counts, this thermometer is lacking.

I got this thermometer because I wanted a fast and accurate way to check my temperature when I feel sick. The current thermometer that I had took almost a minute to get a reading. I was impressed by how quickly this unit gave me a reading, only about 10 seconds. The display is large and easy to read, even in the dark. The flex tip is comfortable and gentle, unlike some other thermometers that feel hard and cold. It also comes with a storage case and some probe covers, which is nice. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a reliable and convenient thermometer.

Definitely not an 8 second reading. Always reads low!! Not happy with this product at all. I'm a home care nurse, will not be getting this product again

Its very fast and the size allow you to view the reading before you moves it and it less likely it lost in patients clothing. Good price too.

I bought this for adult use since I use the ear thermometer on the kids. It constantly has readings that insist my body temp is between 94.2°-94.9°!! It was inexpensive and I suppose I got what I paid for. Don't waste your money on this thermometer!
