Shows the same temperature every time it is used. (yes we know how to re-set it) Don't bother, spend a little more for a better quality product..

I works well for a cheap thermometer when you're in a pinch. I got this for my husband and myself to use, and probably would only recommend it for adults vs kids since you do have to hold it in your mouth for quite a while to get a reading. I don't imagine this would be an easy feat with a squirmy toddler or fussy infant! Overall, it works well but I feel the uses are pretty limited to adults or older kids. I like that it comes with a set of hygienic liners for the thermometer though - very handy to not have to buy them separately at the get go.

Takes a few more seconds then I'd like to reach a final temp but its cheap and does the job.

This thermometer came just before I got sick. I was able to keep track of my fever, helping me decide when to go to the doctor's. This thermometer seems to be accurate and gave the same reading when I used it 3 times in quick succession. The one problem I have noticed is that the beeping is not very loud. I'm middle-aged; it might be more audible to younger people. The display isn't very big & isn't lit, which might be a problem for some. Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase, especially for the low price. Would definitely recommend.

I bought four thermometers to try and find one that is accurate. The Veridian 08-300 was the best (and lowest price). It beeps when you turn it on, shows the last saved temp for about 2 sec, then goes out of memory mode so you can take a new temp. When reading is complete (60 sec), it beeps 10 times unless you press the button. Pressing the button turns it off, so if you want to stop the beeping, you will have to turn it on again and get the temp by reading the last saved memory. Alternately, you don't have to wait the full 60 seconds to get an accurate reading, so you can remove it before the 60 sec is up and it starts beeping.Pros:Accurate temp after about 30 sec.This does not have a bendable probe.The container to hold it is a one-piece hard sleeve rather than the two-piece cheap clear plastic holders most thermometers have.Beeps after 60 sec, so you can remove it sooner to avoid the beeping and still get an accurate reading.Cons:I wish the display were lighted (but at this price none are).Memory doesn't display very long.

I bought it to replace an other brand that I could no longer find. The two correlated well. It was easy to use. The digital numbers was easy to use.
