Good design poor assembly. Retainer nut not attached on first unit. Electrical wire loose on replacement. Customer service on manufacturer website is a joke. I opened both cases and fixed them which means no warranty applies now. But they work great now.

Product Review: Electric WinchesWARN 885000 PullzAll Corded 120V AC Portable Electric WinchPrice: Approximately $230Capacity: 1/2 Ton (1,000 Lb)Performance: The winch has a 2-minute run time with a 30-minute rest period, which is not clearly stated on the retail site but is detailed in the product documentation. In practice, this limitation proved to be significant, as the winch consistently signaled an overload with its red LED during a task of dragging a 200 lb boulder over a distance of 200 feet. Pushing the winch beyond its stated limits resulted in overheating and damage, with melted plastic observed.Overall: While the build quality seemed adequate, the operational limitations greatly reduce the utility of this winch for continuous tasks. It may serve better for light-duty operations that fit within the run/rest cycle.VEVOR 2-in-1 1100 lbs Electric Hoist WinchPrice: Approximately $130Capacity: 1100 lbsPerformance: Despite being the less expensive option, this winch performed admirably, completing the same 200-foot boulder-moving task without overheating. It only signaled an overload once during a momentary hang-up. Subsequent uses have shown consistent pulling power without signs of slowing down.Overall: This winch offers excellent value for money, providing reliable performance for heavy-duty tasks at a lower price point. It appears to be a robust tool for those needing a winch for more demanding applications. Conclusion: For those requiring a durable and cost-effective winch, the VEVOR winch is the recommended choice. It offers superior performance and endurance, especially for tasks that demand continuous operation. The WARN winch, while a decent tool, is better suited for lighter, intermittent use due to its strict operational constraints.

Seems to be a good value so far. Lights tell you the status of the motor: green light you're good, but red lights...well, that's trouble (see photo).
