This is a great spike! It’s sturdy and for the price you can’t beat it. When you’re buying, keep in mind you lose almost 6” mounting, so unless 33” is sufficient, you might look at one of their longer spikes, but I can lift 1600lb bales without any problem.

Nothing wrong with the hay spear. Just wish I would have gotten the longer one. If you're not sure about the length, go with the longer spear.It helps maneuvering the bail on the ground.

I use it on the 3x3x8 bales i get. works just fine. Comes with the mounting sleeve, which was a surprise.
