I tried and tried to get a good seal but this just burns through my mushroom grain bags. The seal is very thin 1/16. It may be ok for regular vacuum seal bags but I’ll stick with my commercial vacuum sealer which does a much better seal and wider. I also should have bought a small one.

I use this mainly for sealing grain spawn bags in my mycology projects, and it works great for resealing potato chip bags too (because nothing says ‘science’ like fungus and fresh chips).That said, this thing is way bigger than it needs to be. Seriously, there’s so much empty space inside it could double as a tiny apartment in New York. Could the designers not have played a little Tetris with the component layout? If Steve Jobs were around, he’d probably dunk this thing in an aquarium just to prove there’s room for improvement.

I bought this to seal bags. I have a small laser engraver and I bagged my products and then shrink wrap them. This is perfect. It works well. It seals the bag. I’ve had it for a couple months now I’ve had no problems whatsoever works as advertised. PS does a fine job on the occasional chip bag as well lol😉

I have a different model from years ago, but it’s only an 8” sealer. It has an iron base and handle vs the plastic of this model, but that’s a choice I opted for because it’s cheaper.This sealer has variable heat control knob that has a mark for aligning the setting, but it’s really hard to see. My other one has a large painted white mark that is easy to see. In fact, the whole knob and surround faceplate is better on my old one, but I did opt for the cheaper model. Nevertheless, the knob works fine.The sealer does a good job of sealing a variety of thicknesses of plastic. One reviewer complained that the heat output was weak and he had to turn it up high to be able to tear the plastic after sealing it. Some heat strips are not designed for tearing; they’re designed for sealing only. Thinner heat strips, typically, are used for tearing after heating.I tried it on my 16” Vevor, and it tore nicely at a heat setting of “6”, “5”, and even “4”; although, I did have to pull harder on the setting of “4”. It seems to have plenty of heat to do its job well. It has 500 watts of sealing power.Would I recommend it for others? Yes, this is a very good impulse sealer. An iron base and handle cover would be better, but I chose the cheaper version. It works just fine.

Loved EVERYTHING about this product, we are a professional Coin and Paper dollar Bill Grading company, and this Vevor is used daily in sealing our Bills inside very thick non- bendable sleeves,... at first we were concerned it may not be powerful enough... but its more then powerful enough and performs excellent.

UPDATE!!This sealer has been wonderful but the the replacement heat seal strips are too short! They are a good inch maybe 1.5" shorter than the one that's on the machine. Very disappointed to have to buy a replacement!We were replacing an older sealer that had met it's end of days from being dropped on the floor one too many times. This sealer is awesome. It's far better than the one we had previously. I was a bit nervous because of the lack of reviews when we first purchased but researched and found that most of these sealers come out of the same factory. That said, I love the metal body, this isn't falling off the table any time soon. The sealer itself provides a nice clean seal with various timings for different materials. If you are in the market for a sealer I'd highly recommend this one!

Seals perfectly my bags. I have an hot spot at one extremity and did small holes in my plastic bags, but I can avoid it. Will check eventually if I can fix with the replacement elements coming in the package.

Very nice sealer and works great.Sealing width is 3mm, which is a bit small but is standard for what I see on the market.This will come in very handy making custom sizes pouches for Vevor chamber vacuum vac that I just purchased.Keep up the great work making nice products at reasonable pricing Vevor!
