We are still in the rainy season here, so I'm reviewing so far based on first impressions and will update when I have some experience actually using these for watering. We have a couple of trees that I struggle to keep watered during the dry summers here. I've seen bags like this used and thought they might provide a solution, at least helping until the trees are more established. These are impressively sturdy looking, and the method of use seems straightforward. I'm hopeful. Much depends on the rate of water release- I'm hoping for a slow release over days to provide some consistent moisture to the tree base. That could be a big help, especially for trees like one of ours that are hard to keep a hose or water source at.

It gets sooo hot in the summer where I live, and it’s difficult to water trees when the ground is parched and it all wants to run right off. These solve the problem. I thought they were going to be more like install once and then one was stuck to a tree forever, but they’re not like that. They’re easy to move around— just zip and unzip them. My fruit trees are going to be happier than ever this year.

Bags emptied in just a couple of hours. I filled two of the bags for two new trees and they already emptied in just a couple of hours, which defeats the whole purpose of the bag. If I have to refill the bag every day, I might as well, just water the plant myself with less work.

These are nice compact water bags that don't detract from the tree. I've had the bigger ones but the go too high around the trunk and either don't fit with low branches or detract from the tree itself as your eyes are drawn to the bag. this sit low to the ground and don't detract, the downside is that they don't hold as much water. Even if I have to supplementally water in the really hot part of summer these will keep my trees from drying out and dying

I am not sure what to think of this. It goes on easily enough and it is easiest to adjust when it is only half way full. It doesn't quite staand up like it does in the pictures if I fill it anymore than halfway so I am not sure if that is how it is supposed to look or if I might be doing something wrong. I just had 3 new trees planted and one is just big enough that I had to connect two of these together. Connecting 2 was super easy. I tried to track how fast the water comes out and it seems to be somewhere around 3 hours or so. Much faster than it says but I guess it is ok. I am not a tree/plant expert or even a novice. I got this to try to compensate for my general inability to keep green things alive :) I imagine this is more helpful than not and the trees are better off than just letting me do my thing.

These bags hold a good amount of water and are easy to fill. Once filled, the water drips out slowly, which helps the soil stay moist for a long time. The material feels super thick and durable, so I don’t worry about leaks. They wrap around the base of my trees nicely with the zipper and stay in place. It’s helpful that they provide steady watering without needing constant attention. It saves me a lot of manual watering time using a hose for my trees across the yard.

What will they think of next. This is genius! These are completely portable and easy to move and set up. The best part about this is it is slow watering that allows for maximum absorption. During the heat of the summer when surface watering is pretty much inadequate, this allows for slow deep watering for any trees or bushes. It is easy to fill and runs off gravity as water always seeks the lowest point of least resistance. It takes up to about 6 hours for the bladder to run out of water. Then just move it to another and fill it up and it starts all over. It is made out of a material something similar to a waterbed with 2 smaller spouts on the underside, so it spreads the watering evenly on each side. This definitely is something every gardener needs. It is like having an extra set of hands with the watering chores. 5 stars.
