I never used it. The first time I unlatched it in order to hand wash and put it away, it broke. Don’t buy one.

This carrier is decent and can hold up a big cake or multiple cupcakes. It's just a bit too big to my liking but it is also good use of storage to hold other things as well. Would recommend if you always host big parties and need a container to carry your desserts around.

Pretty nice quality although I did find it hard to open. Having the cupcakes carrier with it is a plus . Nice size & easy to transport.

I'm happy with it. I really wanted a square one. the handles can be a bit tough to lock but I prefer that because I know once they are locked its very secure. I bought flexible cutting mats and cut them to size so I can put them under the cakes.

This listing has several different cake carriers in different sizes and shapes, so make sure you read the reviews relevant to the one you are interested in. This review is for the square cake carrier.The inside bottom of this square cake carrier measure roughly 12 inches in length and width, but with the rounded corners, it would hold a square cake of a maximum of not much more than 10 inches in length and width. The height of the cake can be a little over five inches without touching the top as long as the cake is not more than 10 inches wide.So it will easily hold a typical nine-inch square or round cake, even if it is quite tall. However, be aware that the cake can slide unless you have a base board that will hold it in place. A 10-inch round cake board can slide a bit in this.The square cake carrier has a removal cupcake insert that holds 12 cupcakes, but they will be quite close together.The handles are the type that slip into place with two little knobs. They come off quite easily but can also be put back in quite easily. The handles are actually quite nice. They do not wobble when extended, so the cake will not sway.This carrier will work well for me, especially since I usually make nine-inch cakes.
