My son is a professional, jazz drummer, and these are the only sticks he uses! I can never go wrong, getting him another pair

I’ve used these sticks for years. It’s a shame that the manufacturers don’t make them anymore. I was delighted when I found a few on Amazon. The delivery time was a little long, but I think I bought the last ones frankly, so no need to worry about it.

Congigliati per principianti dal Insegnante di musica... Sono fantastiche, ottimamente bilanciate e comodi. Consiglio l'acquisto!

I have use the Peter or skin sticks on and off for years. Vic Firth Inc. Malia is on a salable. For some reason they tend to outlast many of the other brands. These sticks could be great even for a rock gig. However, they have a very small bead that condenser heads under high impact. But if you’re playing a medium level gig or a jazz gig they have a great field, great sensitivity on the ride cymbal and terrific balance. Would you expect anything less than greatness from Peter Erskine?

This is my stick period. For me it’s the right diameter, length, bead combination. The round small bead gives excellent cymbal articulation and there is enough substance to them for loud volume. Stick choice is a very personal matter. What feels right in my hand may not work for you but I am extremely happy with this model stick. It’s been a 40 year search but I think these are the ones . Happy creating and exploring!

Slightly different than the Peter Erskine ride sticks, which is what I thought I was ordering. However, I actually like these better! They shaved a couple of grams off the weight, so it's even lighter but still has power in the stroke. Best part is the round tip because you get a sharper pop in your hits.

the difference between going to a drum shop and going through fifty pairs of drumsticks and buying a pair from an online shop is night and day. Of course these are great sticks, matched, no warble... but just a touch heavy for me compared to the other Erskine's I use. No easy way to get exactly what you want buying sticks online unless you get lucky.

I rotate through several clones of this stick from different companies. It is essentially the same as the out-of-production Regal Ping and the Vater Sweet Ride. My rotation depends on the weight of the stick instead of the size/shape.These Peter Erskine sticks are made from red hickory for durability. They are the densest, heaviest version of the clones.Regal's Ping and Vater's Sweet Ride are made from regular hickory--call these the "medium weight" clones.Vater's Sugar Maple Sweet Ride is the least dense and lightest version of the clones.I pick the weight appropriate to the job. If I'm going to be playing hard, I pick these Peter Erskine sticks for their durability and weight. Fast and light gets the Vater Sugar Maple Sweet Ride.

The Erskine sticks are some of the best I've used. They are light weight like a 7A, but with a longer reach. The round tip really helps with stick definition on ride cymbals. These sticks have given some of my vintage Zildjian A rides new life. I wouldn't recommend for all styles of music, but for Jazz, the Erskine stick is a winner.
