So far this is an amazing unit .I have just been testing and nit installed .It takes large load to get fan to come on and even then it's quiet..The victron software could use improving.I will continue to buy victron products and recommend

Installed this in my RV and it's absolutely Awesome.The Victron App makes monitoring the inverter a snap.The App shows the Wattage in a real time situation and I find that extremely useful.

I returned the Victron Phoenix 12/1200 Low Frequency Inverter.For anyone interested in SWL (Shortwave), AM, Ham / Amateur Radio, This inverter completely destroys everything from 0khz to 10mhz.1.8mhz & 3.7mhz are 20+ db of solid noise, not even the banding of noise you normally see, just a solid block on the waterfall.In hopes trying to reduce the emissions I tried: no AC wiring attatched, no loads, chassis grounded, DC wiring through wound through a toroid, alternate radio DC source, and dipole antenna 100ft away on the ground, even still there is incredible amounts of RFI / EMI. It might as well be an RF signal generator.I thought moving away from a high frequency switching inverter would be the ticket but that is not the case with this unit. So much RF it should be regulated by the FCC. Ridiculous.Another note is it wont even power a 700w microwave that is listed for 1000w draw. junk!

None better, and I mean that. Low frequency means exceptional efficiency. Just 5-10 watts in idle.. I wish they made a 3,000 watt in this footprint, inverter only..

Like all the Victron I have got it is heavy duty built and performs above what they claim.I also like the Bluetooth they use for changing setting and viewing what the device is doing

This is the inverter you want. It is very efficient, very quiet (no fan by default, fan only comes on when needed and it does not sound like a plane is about to take off). Used it for only short time, but this is a solid product with all the important features. An example for efficiency: with a 40Watt load, the overall power consumption was 44Watts. I will be testing with 1.2KW load as well. But I am already very impressed.

All of my Victron products have provento be very solid in both quality and performance. As I am no electrician Iappreciate the built in safety features as well. By FAR the most quiet during heavy load situations. Love it!

On the VictronConnect app it shows 0% load even though I got a load close to the full capacity connected. The white indicator on the scale shows a value but the scale goes up to 200 even though I got a 1200 watts inverter. On the VRM portal I do see the watts under AC Loads but on the VictronConnect app its all incorrect. Now, I got a load percentage reading before updating the firmware so I think it is a firmware issue and may be fixed in the next update. In terms of efficiency and performance this inverter is outstanding.The packaging was terrible, I received it damaged (see attached images). The foam packaging for this 1200 watts 20 pound inverter was the same as the 250 watts (5.5 Pounds ) inverter. These inverters are way more expensive than other inverters on the market so I wish they would package them safer.Will I buy again? Yes.Will I recommend? Yes
