I enjoy doing many conventions acting out mid-evil times and ways. This adds to such events with the antique looks. This comes with a storage case to help protect it when not in use. May not be in everyone's list of needs, but I like it.

This is a fun little piece. It comes, as shown, in a little velvet and silk-line box, perfect for keeping and/or displaying it. The piece itself has a great weight to it. I guess testing the metal might be in order before actually drinking from it, but I'm not the chalice police. It has some mildly ornate engravings of geometric patterns on the side. They do successfully pull off the feel of something that seems like old, ornate, and/or valuable - "it belongs in a museum" as it were. Nice piece.

The chalice is exactly what I was looking for. The case is a great touch because I am giving as a gift. Problem is, it smells. It has an awful musty odor. I had to throw out the carry bag and I am considering throwing out the case too.
