It's very thin and the best characterization is plastic paper. I don't see the advertised approach of siding repair as viable method. If you go such great length of color matching and painting this thing, you might want to do it the right way, replace broken piece with matching vinyl siding. The only value I see this product is to seal the holes temporarily until the siding is repaired.

Okay what is this. I bought these to pair up some holes around my house and thought this could be an easy fix. However, it just doesn't make sense. Why would I tape a piece of paper over a hole and then cover it with paint??? Ultimately I ordered spackle.

We won't be applying this to our back garage until Spring so I can not comment of the durability of this item. Having used something such as this years ago, I see no issues with it not preforming as expected. This stuff makes for an easy repair that helps keep the area protected from water damage.
