The price did not match up to the material of this ladder. Very challenging to put together. The gate is actually a nuisance to fight more than a comfort for safety. We chose to leave it off. Overall, I expected a higher quality, more stable, easier to maneuver ladder. Positives: it looks better than the flimsy ladder that came with the pool. Steps are still a little steep and narrow, but better than original ladder. I believe I overpaid, but trying to justify that it’s at least a little better than what I had.

This is a very cheaply made product. It was missing a screw, which is easily replaceable. Most of the screws, nuts and bolts did not fit adequately and therefore stripped while being assembled. The steps are very thin and steep. Once placed in the pool, it is not stable at all. It tips over and 2 of my children were injured from this. I requested a refund for this and explained to the company that it was dangerous. They demanded I send the product back in its current state (a completely put together set of steps) with original packaging and manuals. When putting it together, all cardboard boxes were sent out with the recycling. They informed me that I could "possibly" receive a replacement (which I would NEVER want) if all the steps they sent were followed. correctly. I do not want a replacement, I want a refund. I even explained to them that they are more than welcome to send someone to pick the product up as I have no way to transport it. Please don't waste your time or money on this product or this company. THEY DO NOT CARE. There are better things out there, trust me.

When we tried to assemble the product, we realized they sent 3 roght step stringers and 1 left, instead of 2 of each. When we contacted the seller, we were told that they do not ship replacement parts, so we need to call the manufacturer. We called the manufacturer and could only get recordings to call during regular business hours. Strangely enough, I thought that 2pm on a weekday would be a normal business hour. We contacted the seller again after several attempts, and were told the only other option was to send it back via UPS at our expense. Since we had one side of the steps already assembled, we decided to test it out to see if it was worth reordering. The steps are allegedly rated for up to 300 pounds, I weigh a little over 200 pounds, but when I stepped on the bottom steps, they tended to bow and looked like it would fall apart. So we boxed it back up and called UPS to see how much it would cost to ship it back. Based on the dimensions and weight, we were quoted $417 to return the product that we cannot use.Poor customer service and poor quality.

Had fun putting together. I would recommend a second person to assist in getting it up and over the pool wall. The exterior door does seem to be self shutting, so be aware when getting out it will swing back on you; easily overcome though. Seems sturdy and the grandbabies are constantly jumping off the platform. Pleased with my purchase.

Easy use for someone that needs a little more support getting into a pool solid feeling steps doesnt feel like the steps are gonna break under a big adult. door locks so it keeps little ones out of the pool it’s a little tough getting rocks in it to weigh it down but no to hard

It was a bit of work assembling it, but me a 52 year old lady did it! I like it much better than the ladder that comes with the pool. The top rails aren’t very sturdy but I feel much safer getting in and out of the pool with this ladder.

directions are not all that easy to follow but if you are handy with tools you'll figure it out! I would recommend drilling extra holes below the water line to help them sink and stay put! It is nice to have steps locked for piece of mind with small children!!
