After a few hours, a six pack of beer, and some cursing, I was able to assemble this trike. I got it for my kid, a teenager with autism, and so far, he has shown a lot of interest.

I do not write lengthy reviews. But I really felt I needed to on this because you may feel the way I did when I got it. It's not what I thought it would be at first, but I gave it a chance, did some research and it's better than I could have hoped for. Life changer is what I would say it is.I got the bike because of hip pain I've had and wanted a much more stable bike to ride (low impact etc). because I've become so afraid of falling/pain etc. If you have any type of arthritis or OA - you know. Overall, this bike is terrific once you deal with a few things.1) It's heavier than I expected and not easy to maneuver - it's a matter of planning for this and not hurting yourself trying to move it around.2) It arrives in many many pieces. My husband who is handy had to drop it off at a bike shop and they assembled for $50. It's not an easy build or my husband would have done it.3) I didn't see a video on how to ride it so I hopped on and spun in circles - thinking something was wrong with the bike or wrong with me. Ran slowly into my son's car. I ended up searching on line and you do not lean forward on the bike. Instead lean back. Almost like you want to pull back on the bars. It's a nice little core workout (in addition to light leg/glute) and is super stable and easy to maneuver. The various gears help make it easy to pedal or give more resistance. Up to you.4) Hitch for SUV- my husband needs to get a special hitch for transporting the bike -- again, some may have this already but I thought the bike might collapse and fit in the back of our SUV and it doesn't. Too big.I have been pretty active all my life and then faced chronic pain and the need to take a much more low impact approach to exercise. This adult tricycle feels like a life changing experience for me. The prospect of giving up much of my mobility was just emotionally really tough and the experience of riding this for the first time, going out for over 2 hours and just getting an awesome workout (because you do work!) and finding myself miles from where I started. It's just an awesome feeling. I know you're not supposed to ride hands free but you can. I love everything about this bike and hope others take the leap and get one. If you aren't comfortable anymore on a regular bike, don't accept a loss in movement. Get this. You'll feel really secure, you'll feel a sense of freedom from fear, from pain; free from feeling restricted. A piece of your regular active, happy, moving in the sunshine self again. And this is just priceless.

It was my mother's day present but getting put together cost more than the bike it rides side ways in a speed over 4. So I really haven't been riding but the quality is good and love the color wish the seat was bigger.

Rides great but is a bear to put together. When riding it remember it doesn’t turn like a regular bike and get a lock for your basket so someone doesn’t steal it off your bike b
