Not a great fit in a mil spec lower, but totally functional. Not bad for the price.

Brand: Generic Vise Tool Block Reinforced Plastics Black (Lower 15)Repair Smithing Tool Part Support. This vise block is made of hard, precise, injection molded polymer. It fits fairly well in a typical AR-style magwell made to fit STANAG type magazines (.223/5.56). It would not work in a smaller AR9 type magwell. This would not fit in the larger LR308/AR10 magwell. It does engage the magazine catch in most, but not all receivers I tried it on. Even when it catches the mag catch, the gun has lots of tipping and wiggle room on the block. So, this vise block is appropriate for: Display of rifle.Cleaning of rifle.Minor adjustments to receiver, furniture, sights or optics that does NOT require strenuous wrenching or torquing. It is NOT a substitute for an upper receiver block or action rod. It would NOT support barrel or muzzle device installation or removal. A gun vise, or receiver block, or action rod, or BEV Block are needed for more strenuous torque/wrenching operations. So, for what it is, it does fine.

This is an inexpensive vise block for your lower receiver. It has a cutout for the magazine catch but it doesn't lock in. Perhaps the dimensions are slightly off. But honestly, that is not important. It holds the lower securely in place and I used it to torque down my castle nut to 40 ft lbs and it had no issue accepting that torque. At no point did I feel like my lower was going to come flying off or that the block was going to break. So yes, there may be nicer vise blocks for a lower, but not for $10 and not one that will be at your door the next day. When I factor in the price, this is a 5 star item.

I picked up this mag well vise block to help with working on my AR lower. The fit is extremely loose, with a ton of slack, making it feel unstable. The slot that’s supposed to catch the mag release doesn’t actually catch, which defeats part of the purpose. While it does hold my rifle in the vise as advertised, that’s about all I would trust it to do. The slop is so bad that I wouldn’t dare torque down a castle nut or anything that requires real pressure. Because of that, the block has very limited use. If you just need something to lightly hold your rifle in place for minor work, it’ll do, but if you plan on doing anything serious, I’d look for a better option.

Solid vice block, fits well. I used this in one of my builds, and it did exactly what I needed - felt secure, didn't flex.

Fits really loosely. The lower can come off the block while working on it.
